I lost my Russian website that sold Mosin-Nagants and their bullets. It included a scope, bayonet, and a dog collar sling.
BUT NOW IT'S GONE FOREVER!
still got craptons of spamcans full of 7.62x54 lying around
I don't believe they allow mass shipping of bullets to random people, and I would still need a gun to use them "safely".
(Throwing them into a fire is not considered safe.)

Personal rage of the impotent (not that kind) kind:

I'm very probably never getting back in the cage, ring, or tournament floor. It's something that has been really, really bothering me the last few days. I have all this skill, but my body is so broken and out of shape that I have a hard time walking a mile (two on a good day,) on the treadmill without wanting to collapse from the pain. I'm damn near 100lbs/45kg over my fighting weight, and I'm probably never getting back there. To make matters worse, I've been watching sports. Normally, this is not a problem, but the age when professional athletes start to dramatically decline? 30. I hit that mark in September. On top of all that, I have no place to practice. My hand speed is pathetic compared to my tourney days, my strikes are sloppy feeling, I'm sluggish and weak, and all of my flexibility is gone.

*sigh* I hate to say this, B12, but I think it's time for me to hang up the gloves for good, and there's nothing I can do about it.

Is this when you begin work on your timeclone, then? Because only science can save you from the fate that you see as inevitable - and it CAN save you. You can rebuild yourself - tougher, faster, strong than before.
Well...we have the technology.

Amputate your arms and replace them with super-powered cybernetic ones. Or one arm, because that looks far more badass.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

This draconian "parental control" thing on the router. Thing is that what it blocks is completely out of the control of anyone in the house, and the stuff it blocks is absurd. Obviously it blocks websites with pornographic/suggestive material on them, which is fair enough. I can't expect whoever manages the filter to distinguish crude humour from pornography when it comes to deciding what is child-safe. Thing is, it blocks a whole bunch of stuff that isn't at all pornographic and just links to something somewhat suggestive; like some Tumblr pages. That irritates me, since Tumblr is a pretty big platform where a lot of stuff is, and since a lot of people follow other Tumblr pages with material considered inappropriate, a whole fuckton of them are blocked. And the list is definitely expanding too. A few months back it started blocking some reasonably popular webcomincs that make only references to anything sexual. And now it's blocking Omegle. This is so much bullshit.
And if I ask my stepdad to turn it off because it's stupid he'll just go "Why are you looking at pornography stop trying to look at pornography because that is the only reason you could want this filter removed.".

I can work around it with TOR but that doesn't run plugins of anything and I can't figure out how to make it do that.

My father bought some VEPR rifles (semi-auto RPKs apparently) and been blowing those rounds through them.

What's wrong with looking at pornography in the first place?

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I can sorta understand if the kid doesn't understand that these are fantasy situations and not indicative of reality, but other than that... Bad parenting.

For personal reasons I have a very strong moral conviction that sexual things are not bad. The idea that sexual stuff should be repressed actively damaged my psyche as a kid and is probably why I have depression today.

For a child too young to really understand what's going on, sure. Anything other than that is just screwed up morality that insists that (extramarital, recreational) sex is evil and wrong. If someone is equally diligent in censoring violence, then at least I can respect them for being consistent with their silly moral stance.

My dad actually provided me with my first hard core porn back in the days of VHS. This kida matched thier strict but liberal approach to everything - as in, "here is what thing X is, you can access thing X under our control/knowledge/supervisiosn, but woe betide you if you do so in an uncontrolled and irresponsible manner."

I'd probably give them the same lecture I would about violent media.

"It's fake and just for fun. Don't imitate it in real life or you could suffer damn serious consequences."

Then let them loose.

Once they get old enough to start dating/etc I'd probably inform them on where to get condoms, how to avoid STDs, how to use safewords if they're into certain things, etc.
