The only way to sew a non-seam tear in clothing to to apply a large patch over the entire area. Anything else will just lead it to unravel faster and faster until there is an even more gaping and ragged hole.
...I probably should have learned that before I started. So far I've only done a straight tear going down the pant leg. Everything above that is pretty much tatters. I could have sworn I've sewn things like this, or at least my mom has, since everytime I've asked her to teach me, she just runs off and does it herself without her telling me how to do anything.

Also, stupid goddamn wireless antenna. Every adjustment to it makes it think it's the President of Madagascar when he hears someone cough.

EDIT: Now the thread is tangled up. FFFFFF-

They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I told them I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard.
... Yes, the hugs are for everyone.  No stabbing, though.  Just hugs.

Stood up to the superior.
Did you win?
He got fired.

Of course he won. He no longer has to work for an asshole employer.

The problem is, it was $25 an hour with at least four (guaranteed) hours a week. Plus 90% of the time, my immediate superior was my dad and the people I was working with were pretty great. The top boss however... I work at AAMI stadium you see, and next year the footie is moving to Adelaide Oval. They're putting this bitch in charge there as well, even though she completely fucked up here as well. You know what I was fired for? Having a 'bad attitude' and not giving '110%' when I am one of the few who actually does their job. I know supervisors who disappear of for half an hour and turn up at the some food kiosk! It's fucking infuriating!

Well, mine can't fire me, due to me having a goverment contract earned in a public examination and having the law on my side. At worst he can strenously object to my demands.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Fuck my life. Fuck my life. I'm stranded in the middle of Nowhere, Nebraska, dunno what the problem is but its likely to be expensive, help is an hour away at best (not counting however long it takes to fix the godamn thing), oh, and I need to be in Missouri by tomorrow night if I want to pursue education and a job.

May whatever asshole deity that runs the universe strike me down now, because if this is what I have to look forward to every time I try to better myself than I fucking quit.

Good news! Since its Memorial Day weekend, all the repair stores are closed today and probably tomorrow!

In case you recently lost half of your IQ points, the "good news" was EXTREMELY FUCKING SARCASTIC.

It's about 700 miles to my destination, through mountains. I'd need superpowers to push that far.

Perservere here. Just remember, every second you spend raging is a second that you could have not spent raging.
Wait, that sentiment is stupid.
The stupid situation you're currently in will not last.
Do you know anyone on the area? Probably not ...
Guess you may be delayed then.
Or get exposed to Marvel radiation.

Nothing else I can do for now. By sheer luck, I managed to get to a motel before the car died completely, so at least I'm not sleeping in my car for the next two days.

So basically, its a waiting game.
