A small part of my job involves communicating to people via twitter. I am terrified of my own generation because countless young adults on The Tweets cannot spell the few words they know how to use.

These are supposed to be the rulers of tomorrow.

Well...fuck.

Car randomly died driving home from school. Looks like the battery died or something. Call insurance, ask them to come give me a jump or possibly a tow.

Normal truck shows up after awhile. Spends a half hour messing around before figuring out that the battery is fine; its the alternator and possibly something else as well.

Now he's gone and I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully the tow truck will show up in an hour or so, which is the best ETA they could give me.

Not all of them are supposed to be the rulers of tomorrow. I'm just saying, MOST of the young (12-20ish) people I've met both in real life and online outside of specific communities like this cannot write. They just. They cannot.

So i got my new work laptop 2 days ago...
left it at home yesterday...

spent all day getting it up and running and configured and installed...
clean off my old work desktop to prepare it for wiping...

new computer has random bullshit glitches doing random bullshit things...

Can only sync to repository intermittently, can only build intermittently, can only publish intermittently. can not run the fucking application at all, i get an sql error in fucking pristine perfect code that works on every fucking computer in the office.


So I go to move my shit back to the old computer...
and it can;t connect to the god damn network.

and its late and i am tired and fuck it all i need to take this shit out to a field and go office space all over its pompous electronic ass

Minor rage, but enough to try to slam a guitar pick on my desk: Rocksmith is denying me the ability to advance, despite nailing the section it wants me to play. My mastery of the solo of Barracuda by Heart is at 50%, and even though I nailed the 63% mastery section 5 times in a row, it made me do it again. Maaaaan...

FakeEdit: I thought that I didn't specify which type of pick, and I'd have to come in here and tell you guys that I didn't put a pickaxe into my desk. That is a ridiculously awesome image, but not something I'd actually do. I do my best to treat my stuff well. Also, my desk is glass.

Finally home safe. Godammit, I do not need another freakin' repair bill. And of course my car breaks down on the day I have a dozen important things to do. I'm hungry and I'm thirsty and I'm exhausted, and I accomplished maybe 10% of my schedule.
