Oh hey, a new graphics design job offer!
Quote
I need a new logo, banner and theme for our new youtube channel, [REDACTED]. We will be doing game content and review for PC,xbox games, battlefield 3, call of duty, fifa, any game worth playing.

Awesome! I've done designs for my own channel, and can totally... wait a second, what was that last bit?

...sorry, but no. I'm afraid I have to decline. (REASON: Fuck your job.)

What's so bad about this aside from the fact that this is going to be like any of the other 50,000 youtube channels that do the same thing? :P

Having two MMS and a soccer game isn't a particularly interesting start to 'any game worth playing', I'd say.

A little bit of "RAWR! WHY YOU TRIPLE-A-GAMES!? NERD-HIPSTER CRED, RAWR!"

...that, and me choosing to exercise even the remotest discrimination for quality and taste, when it comes to gaming. All the series he listed have been the same damned games for the last decade or more, but with 30% more bloom lighting, and 30% less effort than the last one.

I feel like an art prostitute now. Those better be some damned good death-cookies Tellemurius.

I deleted an argument and image spam.  Please don't continue the discussion re: AAA games if you can't keep it together.

What makes me rage: people falsely claiming that they have a legitimate medical illness and then using it to justify being a hell-shitting cockhitler.

I would take that job. Hey, if his money is spendable (i.e./e.g. not monopoly money), you may as well take it, right?

Must be nice to have so much money that you can decline a job because of "morals" that don't actually affect anyone in any way.

Morals are a rather nice quality to have, yes.

It isn't "moral" to refuse to work for someone who's opinion you don't agree with. Millions of people all over the world work for people they don't like or don't agree with.

Unless the contract states that Soli must become the channel owner's friend, give up indie gaming, or sacrifice his pet to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, he should make the stupid banners, take the money, and let that be the extent of the working relationship. If he's rich enough that he can refuse the job, good for him.

Rage@Myself: Stupid me, you shouldn't be mentally fatigued because you wrote 2 1/2 pages. You suck, me. Yeah, I know that it's the first time you've written in an academic capacity in a year, but suck it up, bucko. You didn't even have to cite sources, and other B12ers did the mathematical gymnastics for you! (Thanks to Skyrunner and Reudh, by the way.)

Figuring out that football players do as much work whn they collide with each other as 40 grams of TNT was a fun exercise xD Units are fun.

This... Actually. I don't know if I should be digging up a discussion that got partially axed but it just kinda... Seems off. Even then the way it was read doesn't imply they called AAA games the only worthwhile ones. Just that they'd cover other worthwhile games.

So... Turned down good money for hipster reasons. Good for you I guess?
