I got my ears cleaned at the local family doctor and it worked wonders. They used an ear pick thingy along with some pressurized water.

My left ear was clogged for at least 6 years prior to that, and the newfound hearing ability was wonderful.

I couldn't imagine what stuff might had come out of that.

Thankfully I do that myself somewhat regularly.

Pretty much regular earwax came out. I may have had some minor infections or whatever from it, but nothing serious; just enough to noticeably impair my hearing.

I've had a clogged ear before. Just pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into the affected ear twice a day, waiting until the popping in your ear slows down (About 1 minute). Cleared me up after a couple days.

Of course, I didn't have something blocking my ear for years...

I once had a bad earache for a couple days. My mother heard the warm olive oil thing, and decided to try it. The olive oil was very, very hot. Never doing that again. The eardrum burst a day later, and oddly enough felt better than when it had been all stuffed up.

Yeah, any liquid that goes into your ear should be very close to your body temperature, otherwise things happen.

Yuck, hangover. I only ever get those hangovers where your whole body feels shitty. A headache would be preferable.

Same here. I get full body aches from hangovers, but not headaches. Much the same feeling as when I'm extremely tired, actually.

I had a pretty shitty day today, and I nearly flipped out on a friend of mine. First I met in him in the morning, expecting that he'd photocopy a few things for me that I needed for the multitude of roleplaying games I run for friends and friends of friends, and he forgot to. Now this doesn't seem like a big deal, and it normally wouldn't be. But he's been flaking out of actually helping me with the stuff I need to do/get done, and not even having the courtesy to make up excuses for it. Immediately afterwards he then started ranting about how the Sandy Hook shooting was a conspiracy set up by the government to take away peoples guns. I honestly couldn't deal with his shit anymore, so I just got up and told him I had to go. I'm normally used to this kind of stuff from him, but today I just didn't want to deal with it.
