If you hear cranky poppy sounds from it, be a bit more careful with the stick next time. Be sure to oil the translation up good too if your having problems with that.

Third day my ear is blocked and it's starting to get pretty annoying. I want to enjoy my goddamn music in stereo!

Probably related to the (rather minor) cold I have.

It's... probably ear wax build up. Which is a thing that happens. Could be some other stuff, too, but from what I understand that's pretty much the most common cause.

Terribly annoying, but (at least according to the doctor I saw about it last time) not dangerous and more or less natural. Fixing is more of an issue

The last time my ears were really stuffed, it involved slightly pressurized water to clean it out. Felt kinda weird.

I've had my ears cleaned with the pressurized water method before. Might as well visit a doctor tomorrow.

That, or your sinuses need a good depressurization. Tissue works well for this.

Don't have olive oil in house currently. On unrelated note, when I first woke up with my ear blocked, I tried to clear the wax blockage with a cotton swap (yes, I know it's not exactly healthy or safe) and the if it is wax, it's deeper than I dare to stick the swap in.

What about vegetable oil, or canola oil, or peanut oil, or coconut oil, or some other kind of consumable plant-based oil?

I know that there's some kind of treatment that dissolves the wax or something, but it's not particularly fun and doesn't work very well if your ear canal isn't very close to straight. Speaking from personal experience on that part, it's only worked once for me, and still took much longer. And you do need to flush the majority of the wax plug out afterwards.

I find it better to wait it out, I can stand a day or two of a plugged-up ear with mild irritation, but putting stuff in my ear? Eugh.
