Really? That is amazing. All our school has is a "Minecraft Club" which only sixth graders can join, and is run by a teacher who literally does not know how to turn a computer on. Not a joke.

It was their "technical" solutions that caused me to RAEG the most. "Open Services.msc. Select all Microsoft Services. Hide. Then select all remaining services and disable them."

When your software requires that level of fuckery to even work reliably, the issue isn't the operating system. It's that you employ hacks for programmers. I'd go straight with the standalone driver if I had any confidence it could actually be installed manually and operated over a network.
Wait, that was the actual "technical solutions"? I thought it was just the result of the driver installer trying to keep itself from breaking.

What the fuck.

It was in a thread I read started by I believe an HP professional. I dunno. I read so many of those pages looking for leads on stuff not working, they all blend into one gestalt of over the top solutions and frustrating dead ends. I read and dismiss half of them on the basis of what they're suggesting you do. Turning off AV I understand. Hell, I might even accept a regedit, occasionally I have to do it to fix our software. But when I have to strip an OS down to its bare components because they "might" interfere, I know I'm basically reading bullshit. One way of convincing people not to bother is to make your advice so involved that no one is willing to go near it. Especially when I have to call someone every time a computer restarts ><

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

In my Health/Gym class today, we were watching a movie. It was about social media and "Sexting", and MY GODDAMN CLASSMATES WOULDN'T FREAKING SHUT UP! Needless to say, I had to suppress the urge to beat them up.

Ah, the wonders of schools incorporating and attempting to educate about modern technology.

We're having a similar thing. We watched a video detailing how to be safe on the internet, you know, by not posting highly personal information in a public place, not sharing such information with suspicious anonymous strangers, not going to 4Chan because 'tis a silly place, and basically regurgitating info that I thought was just common sense.

Likewise our school board or whatever has instituted this "Bring Your Own Device" policy, and has made Wi-fi available throughout the school. This is cool for laptops and stuff, since it allows students to take notes on their laptop, and other "academic" activities. Unfortunately, most people have interpreted it as a perfectly valuable excuse to waste time on the internet via their smart phones and completely abuse the system.

Everyone probably was already doing this, the only difference now is that the school provides the wi-fi.[/url]

My college gives free wi-fi that I abuse to get online during class, but I think that's normal. I support any step that would make a high school more like college.

i got my bedroom tv in the mail today. the wall mounting bracket that came with it? screws dont fit the tv, plus the driver screws that hold it to the wall are made of a crappy mild steel with a rough texture meaning thety are impossible to drive without stripping the hell out of.

On the bright side, unless these screws are some sort of unique,
You can probably find them at the local hardware store for cheap.

That people apply innuendo to the most mundane and colloquial phrases known to mankind, despite the fact that we use them every day and nothing clever ever stems from such examples? Sexually.
See? If you laughed just then, you are killing the Engluendo language.

If you set your mind to it, you can find innuendo hidden just about everywhere; a moment more can spawn a stupid joke. It usually only takes a few seconds to get sick of it, sort of like your mom.  ::)

Alternately, blame the experimental html5 if you've ended up opted-in to that and need to opt-out (unless its working better for you)

that doesn't cause the green screen though, flash does it, you have to turn off hardware acceleration to make it happy again.
