I don't think it's possible for people to come out of a black metal concert with their hearing intact, unless it was defective to begin with.

Though the damage usually happens at the edges and is pretty easy to miss.

Heh, yeah. My parents and pretty much every single one of their friends was part of the punk scene back in the late '70s and early '80s, and almost all of them are nearly deaf. I've gone to few enough gigs that my hearing is still sharp and only takes an hour or so to get back to normal after spending the night in a small brick box listening to band after band.

I think I'm going to take up wearing ear plugs myself. When you're at a live show, you feel the music more than hear it anyway.

So I've been coming home from work lately to find my nice, highly detailed, thoroughly painted 40k figs getting knocked off my table.

Today I come home and find one of them has teeth marks from where my stupid fucking dog has been chewing on them.

The urge to strike him is nearly overwhelming, stopped only by the fact I know he wouldn't make the connection to what he'd done to piss me off. I swear to fucking god, this dog has chewed on, slobbered over and ruined virtually anything in the house he can reach. I've never wished for any of my animals to come to harm, but I'm about done with this and on the verge of praying he eats something sharp and/or toxic so he LEARNS HIS MOTHERFUCKING LESSON. I've never had to cordon off my house before because of my animals. I don't know what we did differently this time but I'm at the end of my patience with this fucking fat, stupid, 4-legged eat machine. FUCK YOU DOG.
