From what I know about making games, the story is generally limited to the Lead Designer and his Designer cohorts rather than the actual developers. Roles may get muddled in a smaller group, but it may be a good idea to set some hard limits on who's in charge of what and who has the final say in things. If you have a strong, central leader in the group, make him the Lead Designer. The job of Writer can be passed to someone else if he's not up to it.

As for sleepy time creativity, that's generally because you're hitting a lull and aren't doing as much any more. Think about how your day has gone: You've probably been keeping yourself busy and not simply sitting down and thinking. When you start getting tired, your body starts forcing you to relax. If you simply relaxed and did more of nothing during the day, you'd have an easier time having creative ideas. Just set aside ten or fifteen minutes of time where you'll sit back and not focus on any specific task and just sit/lay around.

It's worked for me in the past, at least.

I have forgotten a password, 4 digits. The program doesn't have any safety wipes, password recovery, or lock-outs. The usual passes I use don't work.

Does this mean I have to go thru all the permutations? ;_;

Yeah, the thread is still going strong because nenjin is an evenhanded yet wrathful god.  :P

On the note of pockets: If you can't fit your life into your clothing, you don't have enough pockets. Sadly, I have to choose between pants that fit just right at the waist but only come down to my shins (while cutting off bloodflow to my feet) or pants which are the right length but fit like a tent. Curses upon ye, fast metabolism and slender build.
I feel you. Not that i have a fast metabolism that i know, but a slender build can be really annoying to find pants that fit.

So, we are doing an exchange (well, they'll come to our school for one day and a few months later we'll go to their school for one day) in school with a school in Wallonia.
There will be "pairs", and some people need to have two "partners" because our class has 20 people and their class has 25 people. I have two partners.
Sent them both a mail a few days ago, still no reply.

So apparently our modern day survival horror game based around the fears of 12-year-old children is going to take place during colonial times.  Because colonial times.  I know, right?  Because I've always wondered what 12-year-olds were afraid of 300 years ago.  So much so that we need to make an entire 2 hour game out of it.  *sigh*

I dunno, that sounds pretty interesting. If you only make things that you're personally interested in you'd end up stunting yourself as a creative person pretty quick. It's good to try things as 'jobs' rather than 'hobbies', and it's not like a colonial setting has nothing interesting at all about it that you could work with.

And I'd wager that 12 year olds today would be worried about the same sort of thing as 12 year olds 300 years ago, just the context has changed. Growing up, adjusting to new responsibilities, keeping up with the expectations of family members, being mauled by bears. Typical pre-teen stuff.

What program? It might store the password insecurely somewhere. Alternatively, it would take less than 3 hours to brute force it at 1 permutation/second (ie a really slow rate) if it's that important.

It's in a "secure" Apple firebox, being an app. No luck there.
The only thing left would be the 1 p/s speed of me typing every single password possible...

I am sure that a simple script could do it in a lot less than 3 hours, and that such scripts are probably somewhere on the internet already.

But how does a script run on Apple's iOS? It sandboxes each app, so no one app can influence another. :(

Ugh, I was playing Covert Action, and I had confiscated everything and busted everyone involved in this particular plot but the driver. Thing is, I'd acted so efficiently that there was no evidence incriminating him.
And then to add insult to injury, all I learned about the Mastermind was thons name.

EDIT: Did I meantion I'm only getting about a minute of internet every 10? Because that's a thing too.

So playing SPAZ. I come across a mission that requires me to use cloaks. fucking cloaks. The stuff i never used and therefore did not put a single research point in. Wich means that i have to respec a different category just so i can fucking do this mission. A story mission too.
I try it. No luck. I have to fly to a ship and then "escort it to the beacon", but it does not tell me how to do that.
There's a sneak-o-meter, you have to stay undetected, but minefields keep ruining my cloaks. So i try to find the mine generator. I start shooting it.
Suddenly, out of FUCKING NOWHERE, a cloaked scout appears and drains my entire sneak-o-meter causing me to fail the mission. I decide that i'll blow up the mining base i can't dock on for whatever fucking reason and that does not even have an asteroid to mine from, but then its GAME OVER TOO.
That's it. Fuck cloaks. Fuck this game. Why dont you fucking tell me what i'm supposed to do? There's no way i'm taking out two advanced crawlers without draining my sneak-o-meter. Why do you need a minefield RIGHT THERE?

If not a backdoor, they probably have a delete app data function.

Be angry. Being angry is fun, depressing is no good, neutral is boring.

... I'd go with neutral. Anger's depressing, tiring, and usually counterproductive and depression's depressing (tiring, and rarely particularly useful), so... yeah. If y'can't go with a positive, go with a not-negative. Ambivalent is kinda' groovy, honestly. S'fairly easy to get from that to chill.
