Technically, that's true. However, said shit is dead and won't kill you, and you know what they say about stuff that don't kill you.

Roommate is an anti-vaccer. He says flu shots are a government conspiracy to spread disease.
Does he believe the autism from vaccine conspiracy as well? Sounds like it would fit him.

My brothers wife is an anti-vaccer. Pisses me off, I don't want my niece and nephew to get sick.

I have no idea and I don't want to know. He's free to get sick and nearly-die/die of influenza all he likes and I won't waste time trying to stop him. I'm immunized as can be and will be free to roll around in our plagued room as much as I like without fear of infection. Like I said, not my problem.

He does, and if he doesn't I'll tell my RA.

Just got the flu shot today as well, coincidentally.

Unless he's underlying conditions and/or is particularily old, it most likely won't be that bad. Here it's only recommended for people 65 y/o and older, people with underlying conditions that might resut in a worse outcome and their immediate family, and health workers. Still, given the choice, I'd go for the jab and the priviledge of not puking my guts out for two weeks :p

(TBH  I've had the flu like, three times in my whole life, so I don't think I'm particularily vulnerable to the disease. I mostly got the shot because it was free and I was bored. Immunity, and responsability towards the community, are an added bonus :p)

I know, it's just wishful thinking.

Though he does have a shit immune system. I don't know if massive alcohol consumption will lower your immune system, but given how much he gets sick I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

I remember the last time I had what in retrospect was probably influenza. I spend about five days lying in bed, only getting up to vomit and tripping balls on my fever dreams at all other times. I think I ate a single tuna sandwich over that entire period of time and nothing else. I was never more hungry in my life than when I started to recover from that.

I wonder how excessive consumption of a toxin would manage to lower your immune system... Oh right, toxin. Good for the eyes.

I hate HD sheanigans.

To ellaborate: I assume everyone here is familiar with the phenomenom of larger drives resulting in files taking up MORE space, right? Well, I've seen the ridiculous extent this can reach on my 2 TB hard disk, in which 700 MB files occupy 5 GB of "real" space.
