I went to Britain once. Everyone said bring an umbrella and all the dudes are hot. It didn't rain even a smidgeon, though it was bitterly cold, and all the chicks were fine as all get out, all the dudes were old guys in business suits.

if you visit the north, an umbrella is a necessity.

the south... not so much. they have a drought most years. large population+low rainfall=water shortage.

Also, my rage: Why in the hell did the Roman Empire collapse?! They were so damn cool.

I think it had more to do with the plagues and the whole 'ravening hordes of "barbarians" ' thing.

and the fact they didn't have enough military strength to maintain such a large empire, their assassinations etc.

Don't forget Christianity saying "FUCK YOU" to the entire world's religions and heritages... A lot of people hated the Romans for that. Hence, barbarians.

Uhhh...there's plenty of snow up here in the civilized northern states when the time comes.  And snow is not fun when you have to shovel/plow it, or drive through a blizzard...or an ice storm, or walk a long distance.  Needless to say, I'm taking the bus more often when it gets colder, those things have heat.

Ehh, snow is pretty hit or miss here. Haven't had alot of snow, very little since 2 winters ago, but on that winter, Shit came down. Schools closed, subways closed, MTA buses abandoned in the snow, Tree branches collapsing, tambien, stuff like that.

Hmm... I'm a moderate amount of English/British Isles races plus some French and a great deal of German and Native American.

Also, my BMI was in the highly underweight range. So why do I like the cold and you don't? Wait, are you a ginger?
