Evangelists are swarming over campus again.
Yeah, they'll do that. Are they just handing out pocket bibles, or do they have an agenda of some sort?
Just one of their bi-monthly pocket bible distribution campaigns. I collect them, annotate them, and give them to my father for christmas as something of a running joke. The real crazies usually only show up once every couple months, but they tend to draw substantial crowds with their large banners covered with slogans like, "SOCIALIST education is a tool of the DEVIL." and "YOU'RE GONG TO BURN IN THE FERY PITS!" That kind tend to be fun to troll. Just mentioning that I'm an atheist gives them fits; I wonder how many heart attacks I could cause if I pretended to be a satanist.

So yeah, now we're getting religious adverts on our good ol' London buses.

Basically, massive red blocky text saying the Mormons are coming.

Fortunately (unfortunately?), living in a very religious area means you don't get pummeled with religious advocates since everyone already assumes you're religious. The only march on my university's campus I witnessed was a progressive one, and it encompassed a lot of social issues (feminism, LGBT stuff, etc). Too bad it didn't gain much attention; they just walked around and were ignored by everyone as far as I could tell.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

When did the Mormons plan to invade Britain?

Oh, they never planned to invade. They planned to infiltrate and assimilate you, just like everywhere else. Resistance is futile.

Mine too. Ranges from Jews for Jesus to the aformentioned crazy-banner carriers.

They must be using social networking.

There's also a religious fraternity here. Instead of three Greek letters it has two Greek letters and a cross.
