Those new Pert Plus commercials are making me RAEEEEGGGGG. I know the angle they're going for, but still, the whole 'don't be an animal' thing really just enrages me for some reason.

It may be no use crying over spilt milk, but raging over it is a different story.
Seriously? I have no problem with them encouraging milk-drinking, but trying to scare the populace with "sciencey" chemical names not only misinforms viewers about a perfectly safe product, but also encourages the hatred of science common in today's society.

I just went golfing. I don't get to go that often, so I'm not that good, and I have to squat down every time I use the short clubs like I'm taking a crap in the woods. Altogether I ended up in the perfect golfer's state of mind:  :D :D :D fffuuuu  :D :D :D

I am now imagining you standing there with a golf club larger than you, before deciding to just punch the golf ball onto the green.

Unfortunately, punchin' is against the rules. As such, I suck at golf.

No Max. You must punch the rules until they see the error of their ways.

It makes sense for Windows to choose UAC instead of separate the user and administrator accounts; asking someone to click “Yes” is easier than trying to explain to them what “run the program as the administrator” means and how to do it.

Tellemurius, I am running Arch, and I enter my password every time I need elevated privileges (sudo, of course). Is there a better way to manage this? I could perhaps configure pacman to install programs to my /home directory.
Tell you the truth i don't have much experience with Arch and with linux theres very few options as logging in elevated mode. Yea your best bet is unpacking your files in the home directory and keep everything organized.

Man, fuck the dairy lobby. Seriously. Fuck those guys.

(And I say this as someone who grew up surrounded by dairy farms and whose grandfather worked for a dairy.)

We drink almond milk at home because I'm lactose-intolerant, my son is casein-allergic, and frankly because we know it's antibiotic- and HGH-free. He drinks soy milk at school because the school can't have any nut products around due to those allergies.

I'm not anti-milk or anti-dairy by any means, but the dairy lobby just needs to stop. I've brought up before how they spend millions of dollars coming up with new ways for food manufacturer to jam more cheese into a product. ("Okay, the pizza is literally falling apart under the weight of all that cheese. Now we can structurally reinforce the crust by filling it with cheese!")

Seriously...since I'm lactose-intolerant, I have to avoid cheese in all its bastardy deliciousness. In the US, that's like trying to avoid soy sauce in Japan. It just ain't happening unless you make everything from scratch.

Sorry. But it IS the godfood.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I love cheese.
But not the cheese on pizza or other crappy/mediocre cheeses (which are just OK usually), I love good cheese, cheeses with distinct flavor and texture that you can taste, the kind that you have to buy all on its own in a block, rather in a bag or with other food.
Not being able to eat cheese at all would suck, poor redking.  :(

Speaking of cheese, you know what really makes me rage? When commercial try to use the fact that the burger or whatever the fuck they're trying to sell has processed cheese on/in it. Seriously, who in their right mind likes that garbage? It tastes funny and it's unpleasantly plastic-y and rubbery.

Let me just say: Unpasteurized cheese is the best cheese ever. You can order it from France I think and it is amazing.

I have it sometimes, though only for nostalgia's sake/when there's nothing better available (fast food, I'm looking at you). No substitute for actual cheese, but it works.
