Slight derail? SLIGHT DERAIL? The Derail was large enough that if it was physical it would knock earth out of orbit!

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

It was large enough to warrant changing the thread title.

Spent about 2~3 hours on my sculpting homework.  Thought the project was ruined forever when the metal armature broke the minute I added clay, but managed to put enough clay on and bake it so it could stay together.  Skip ahead the aforementioned 2~3 hours, and I realize I put the pelvis on backwards.  Smashed my project on the table, threw it away, then slammed my fists on the table until I had to cradle my hands in my... hands while the throbbing stopped.  That's a decent amount of metal wire, tin foil, clay, and good amount of homework time gone forever.

Thunderstorm's back with a vengeance and I still haven't finished the project. What elf have I angered for him to summon a thunderstorm to ruin my project? And what should I do about it?

B) Look at time: Oh wow, its already 5:30 (after I have been on computer like half an hour). Now I look at the time again: WTF, I just spend 2+ hours on macromeme. GODAMNIT.

Any flash stuff on the top third of my screen seems to update slightly faster than the bottom two thirds, often resulting in a line where the bottom needs to get caught up. Bah.
