Bugs, my camera, my boss.
Bugs, they keep biting me while I sleep. My toes have been especially vulnerable. And if I'm wearing socks, they go for my legs. My arms are covering in scabs of heavily scratched bites, and at one point I suppose I scratched my chest hard enough to rip off a good square inch or so of skin(at least, I
hope I did that).
My camera, whoever designed the battery cover should be shot, preferably with something other than a camera. It's the kind that you have to tighten a little screw to close(and they included a tiny screwdriver, how thoughtful), a little too short to close after you put batteries in it. The little bit that keeps the other side of the cover from popping out just doesn't work, causing that end of the cover to come out. And worse, the camera doesn't have any memory backup, so once it loses battery connection, everything on it is lost. Irritating, since I wanted to take a picture of our shiny new information board at work, since it looks a little like one of
these, which I find to be pretty funny.
And my boss, who yesterday came out and said that Dept. of Labor slaves such as myself are there because of having been arrested for something. I always suspected he thought that, but actually hearing him come out and say it...
Oh, and about that job thing the other page back, it's pretty damn hard finding a job when all I ever see is the same job posting over and over and over, implying that employers only post openings and never actually hire, probably to scum whatever benefits that situation has. Also not helping is the fact that I may well have some people deliberately trying to sabotage my employment efforts. I know my boss may well be too attached to my skills to really want me to go.
