You have to get paid regardless. The world that can happen is the next week's pay is lumped in. You cannot be denied your pay... Unless of course you're working under the table, then you have no rights.
That's the thing, Ehndras, as far as the temp agency is concerned I didn't type in my hours, I must not have worked, so they have no obligation to pay me.

Yeah, they are in massive peril if they don't pay you.  It may be a little less convenient, but you'll certainly get it.

I once worked for two days with some canvassing agency (stupid idealistic student job), then got fired because I suck at political canvassing.  I wrote it off as a learning experience, then a couple months down the line they managed to chase me down and pay me in full for the terrible and unproductive work I did, including the first day which was training only.  Mostly because they would have been screwed if they didn't.

Ask your temp agency how you can submit back hours.  They'll let you.

Didn't get to vote, because even though the blanket measure has yet to be decided, "all first-time voters must present a government issue photo ID".

Fuck you too, North Carolina.
you can't why?
I have nothing which constitutes a government issue photo ID. The closest I have is an expired learner's permit, and I certainly didn't have that with me regardless.
Why does this sound suspiciously like an attempt to keep a certain portion of the population from voting?
Because it probably is?
If only.

So question MSH. Why do you not have a driver's license or state identification card? I'm not supporting NC's policy but...what's preventing you from getting a legitimate form of ID?

I haven't bothered with the driver's license yet, partially because driving makes me a nervous wreck but mostly because I've been putting it off. Why would I have a state ID? I don't work for the state.

State /issued/ ID.

For things like, oh... buying alcohol, or picking up restricted prescription medication, or in some cases seeing a new doctor for the first time.  Having ID is pretty important for preventing identity theft, especially when you're opening a new account...

CNN.com's "featured videos" have, for the last couple days, contained "Man standing in traffic flipped by car".

Disgusting.  Back in the old days, you only saw that kind of shit if you actively went looking for it, and even then you had to know where to look.

Well, as I can't buy alcohol and wouldn't if I could, don't take medication, and don't see doctors (Seriously, what? Do they just expect you to go untreated if you can't provide ID? That's fucked up.) it isn't that much of a hindrance to me.

I'll take care of it when I take care of getting a driver's license so I can drive my nonexistent car.

When I had my license suspended, I had to go get a State-issued ID card to buy smokes and other stuff.

So sorry but....most places require a valid driver's license, or at least a state-issued ID. While it sucks you're being denied your right to vote, you didn't exactly meet your end of the bargain either.

I hear you. 4 years ago I would have never dreamed that trolling Youtube for fucked up videos would be a position in a bonafide, legitimate news organization. Now? That's probably what half of new hires are doing for places like CNN. Because youtube, man, it's news. Every time I get asked why I didn't go into my major, I just point to CNN.

The worst for me is their "video of the day." Laughing baby, cute puppy? How fucking pathetic.

Yeah, quite a few things require a photo ID. Pretty much to the day I decided I wasn't going to bother with driving certification for a few years, I set a time to get a state photo ID made. It isn't exactly difficult, and it isn't some obscure guideline. It's mostly there to prevent identity theft, and is ultimately a good thing. Hell, even a passport can do for a number of things. But yes, you need a photo ID to vote, to get prescription medicine, to apply for a number of jobs (this may only cover government jobs, though, as I've only been employed by a community college and [technically] the Coast Guard), and so on and so forth.

I don't remember if you need one to work.  You need 'proof of identity' and 'proof of right to work', and I think a birth certificate counts for both of those, because your birth certificate is supposed to be absolutely inviolable.  ID + Social Security card also works.  If you cart your BC around everywhere, you're just asking for something bad to happen to it, though.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Sprint.

ETA:
I will never, ever go through Sprint again. For that matter I will never get another phone plan with a stipulation that having a smartphone requires me to use some kind of bullshit 'everything' plan. I would rather use a blocky POS phone from the 90's than get screwed by smartphone rates again.
