Trees.

Fucking trees.

But no, not trees with leaves and branches and insects and birds, but fucking number trees.

Trees with numbers and letters and symbols, trees of arbitrary physical value and no biological use whatsoever.

Trees that cover some sort of inane topic my mind is too impatient to attempt to comprehend.

Trees so vast and complex that my obsessive-compulsive nature wants me to rebuild them like a box of mismatched fuckin' Legos.

Trees...

Fucking trees.

Is that...actually useful for anything that we use here in the real world?

Are you in a sorting algorithm class, Darvi? o_o

.. or is that tree part of the required curriculum?

N-ary trees are the secret to quick databases. Being able to locate an item in Nlog(bigNumber) makes multi-million row database tables practical compared to Nlog(2) that a binary tree or ordered list allows.

Edit: crappy editing makes crappy grammar. "is makes"? seriously, I have to stop this thing where I reword part of a sentence and leave it poorly joined.

Yeah, basically what everyone else said.  You're not a computer programmer, eh?

Home Depot, why you take pictures of PVC fittings on white backgrounds? I mean, I know they have a whole aesthetic going with white backgrounds of the pictures blending in with the background of the website, but maybe they could have considered that, if they're going to show pictures of their products, people might actually want to be able to tell what exactly they're looking at. I know, bizarre concept, right?

I would be a much better programmer if I could just beat the code into submission.

The funny part is that as an assembler programmer, I sometimes feel as if I'm doing a very similar thing.

"Why isn't this code working?  Goddamn it, you've made me resort to this!"
*stick a knife in program*
*watch it die*
*open corpse*
*fish around in guts for answer*

The above four steps could also be looked at in a less ... dramatic way thusly:
*insert crash-causing code in program*
*compile, run, watch it crash*
*obtain dump of memory*
*examine screens of hexadecimal numbers for problem*

But, you know, I kind of prefer to think of it the first way.

I'm going crazy because of this program I'm writing because it inserts random characters at random intervals where it really shouldn't and also my debugger doesn't work.

why does it not be all As why

mental breakdown : commencing.
