Fucking Origin. I make an account, it refuses to accept the password. I figure maybe I typed it wrong, have it send a password reset thing. This turns up a good 15 minutes later. I enter the code, set a new password, it tells me the password recovery service is fucked and to try again later.

Just for that, I'm going to be an asshole and post a poem about Winter and snow.

--- --- ---

Winter's Embrace
by ~Maximilian-Aurea

Where, I bellow toward the heavens, is Winter's snow? Though Summer's end is long since past, Fall seems to linger well past its due. Should Winter not rise from its slumber and give rise to mountainous snow, Spring shall soon overthrow him and take his seat as Lord of Seasons.

Garbed in fur, he reigns 'fore and after Year's death and rebirth. Winds of Change cast over our world a blanket; not of cloth, but of moisture and snow.

I await the cold embrace of Winter's softest ice-crystals, fallen from sky above. When shall they come; when shall they go...

I do not wish for Summer's blaze, for droughts and fire and sweaty days
I wish for cold, and ice, and snow, to bathe the world in moonlit glow

I put no faith in Summer's hand, to scorch the clouds and bake the land
I believe in Winter's cold embrace, I do yet hope he'll win this race

But what of Spring, and passing Fall; united seasons, one and all?
I dream of heeding Winter's calls, of walking through high Odin's halls

From whence had come the falling rain, shall come the snow; mid-summer's bane
I sing that snow may fall to ground, I pray for Winter to be found

Heed my call, dear eldest season, and listen to my words of reason
We wait for you to come again, like year before, and before then

Bring your coat of fur and ice; a simple flurry would suffice
That children shall find Winter's joy, and make complete the gift of toy

Be it Fir or Pine tree standing tall, or lighting of candles; nine in all,
The season calls for celebration, through young and old, each generation.

Take my hand and gaze with me, at whitest snow upon the tree
And walk this way as I now do, to witness Winter's cold debut

Lets watch as snowflakes fall to ground, and cool wind blows them all around
Lets stand upon the mountain tops, and pray the snowfall never stops

May Winter reign throughout the lands, like desert bathed in colored sands.
May Winter bring year's death and birth, and reason to ignite the hearth.

I do not know when Spring shall come, but snow shall fall in lengthy sum.
I know not when Winter shall end, but know that moisture shall transcend.

To sky above and cloud beyond, the water always shall abscond
From babbling brook and tiny stream, its all a part of Nature's scheme.

So look beyond where Fall is found, and wish for snowfall all around.
Where's Winter's grasp we shall embrace, and a year's end we may erase.

You know it, bro!

That's an old one, too. I wrote that in 2009 I think.

I'm still wondering WTF happened to WINTER. It went Fall ---> Spring.

I'm want to be the most pretensioniest!

I Hennes Sovrum

You can't translate poetry! Unless you use Babelfish, and then it becomes an entirely different kind of poetry.

I've got one too!

In Her Bedroom (As badly translated by yours truly)
Joakim Thåström

I asked what day
What day it was today
And she answered I don't know
I don't know what day it is today

So I asked her what month
What month we have now
But she answered I don't know
I don't know what month we have now

So I asked her what season
What season it is now
And she answered it is summer
It is summer it is summer we have now

When I showed her the snow
When I showed her the snow
She said that the summer is harsh
The summer is harsh, is harsh this year

It's from a song, actually. I just removed the chorus, since they're a little less awesome and a little more cliché.
