My own lack of ability at ping pong.

Ok, scratch that. I know how to play Ping Pong, and I'm not half bad.

But when you're playing with professionals, half-bad doesn't cut it. I feel like I have exactly zero paddle control when I'm trying to learn forehand like they're teaching me. So 90% of my returns suck and the dude playing on my side basically has to suffer through 2 points every time I get served to. Doubles probably isn't the best place to learn to control my forehand, but still. GRAH. I hate feeling like a graceless turd around people who are quite skilled at what they're doing.

My backhand is also much much better than my forehand.  To compensate sometimes I'll jump 3 feet to my right and use my backhand instead of risking it with my forehand.

For me, my forehand is way way better than my backhand.

I play tennis, though, so I don't think it counts...

@toony
Be comforted that that delivery guy loves you forever.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

My dad is huge into tennis, and now I'm not kicking myself that I basically rejected him trying to teach me tennis over the years. Not only because I might be better at table tennis...but tennis at that level looks amazing.

And Toony, if he was grateful then you probably earned yourself a story in the man's life about the time he got a 133% tip. So your awkwardness in a way just made you legendary.

My delivery boy didn't even say thanks as he walked away, and I think that's what really made me go thermonuclear.

Grateful = Gratuity.

Can we share social ineptitude stories?  We ordered a pizza and I had to be the one that paid the guy.  He's here so I go and pays for the $8 or whatever that it costed.  I was only given a $20 bill of course.  After giving me everything he looks at me like (so what's the change gonna be?).  I'm already freaking out at this point as the inside of my head starts going (TAKE IT TAKE IT AND LEAVE) and I tell him it's fine whatever.  He thanks me (it was so sincere man) and leaves.  Then I had to explain why I gave this guy a tip larger than the order itself.

I did something similar, except with a hairdresser. It was a few weeks before I could think about it without wincing.

I really really really hate it when people say "Spring has sprung", for some reason.

I have the same problem with Tennis and Ping-Pong. It takes a certain finesse that I simply cannot muster to be able to hit the ball without smashing it like it's a malignant vase. Ping-Pong is worse because of the smaller field, but I frequently hit the back fence during tennis games. On the other hand, a friend of mine and I play supertennis sometimes. (The ball can land anywhere on your side of the next up to twice before it counts as a point. Cue me smashing the ball into the fence to make it lose momentum, or alternatively just sticking it into one of the chain links.)

I would like to trap whoever designed the Ko-Koro Wastes in MNOG II in a non-Euclidean plain white maze for all eternity.

Well, thank God for save editing, at least.

If they give me the slot it's an opportunity.

If not, they will fuel my hatred for a while at least.

So it's win-win.

Winter wind gone
Spring is upon us

With it comes the birthing rains
And gone are the starving pangs

For spring is upon us
And the winter wind is gone

Poems, everybody! The laddie reckons himself a poet!

Now everybody has to post poems about spring :P
