I can't tell how he's choosing his topics. He's hit some of the most popular threads on the forum, but also some random thread in the bug forum, some random thread in DF general, and the crawl 0.10 tournament thread.

You can just right click the image and make it never show up. It's intended to be used for ads that get past the filter, but it also has its auxiliary uses like this.

Well if you put yourself in the shoes of a non anon troll, what would you do? You would actively seek a way to get known and leave a lasting footprint, so the posting pattern appears to be at random, spread across the boards whilst also being put up in threads with the largest or least views, making it a pain to delete all the special fried rice ;p

Get NoScript->block whatever image hosting site he uses.

That just makes it annoying to fix later when you need to see stuff from there.
