I managed to sleep through the entirety of my complex analysis course this morning.  It's my only class all day.

I'm such a fucking tool!  I am now imposing a bedtime on myself.  This is disgusting.  It's not like I do anything important or fun late at night, anyway.

I can never be productive at night.  I always focus on work in the morning and afternoon as I slowly go into my entertainment schedule.  Comfy bed with mellow lights is not helpful.

I have been at my most productive and least coherent (but still passing!) starting at 11 pm the night before something was due and going on 'till sunrise~

I recommend it for no one, though working early morning (i.e. midnight forward) can be pretty effective for some people, in particular situations. There's considerably less distractions, in most cases.

It's kinda' a shame it's rarely possible to really sink into the type of sleep cycle allows for that. Most of society innit' really set up for nocturnal or crepuscular sleeping patterns. I would have totally been down for 2 AM classes.

The night is the only time I can be productive because I sleep through all the day.

NarghfargleWAAAUUUGGHHH

Grease. Frakking machine grease, or whatever the hell that encrusted black gunk is that accumulates on pieces of machinery. 5-6 minutes of solid scrubbing, hot water, cold water, two different kinds of soap, frakking dishwashing detergent, bloody 91% rubbing alcohol AND I STILL HAVE SPOTS OF GUNK ON MY HANDS!

I don't mind getting dirty, but I wargling hate staying that way and this shit won't get off. *incoherent rage*

I'm willing to eat now, at least, but the fact that some of that crap is still on me is just infuriating.

Try using a paint scraper or chisel under running water.

I'd, uh. Well, we don't have any here.

And I think I'd like my skin, at least to the extent it's still there after the vigorous scrubbing. The surface stuff came off with very hot water and cloth rag scrubbing, it's just the bits that are like stuck in those little wrinkles along the knuckles and whatever that's left. I'm not really sure how I'd be able to get that out with a paint scraper or chisel without taking fairly sizable bits of flesh with it. Scraping with the fingernails seems to work a little, though!

Anyway not quite that violently annoyed by it. Almost, but not quite. Or at least I like my skin more than I hate the gunk. Barely.

My roommate is making horrible screechy yelly noises again.  She needs to learn how to control herself.  Even she admits that she's a drama queen =/

Pumice stone. The granularity of the stone will strip the grease off your skin. (Along with skin, if you scrub hard enough.)

My neighbor was a railroad conductor, he used to have boxes of this pumice-based liquid soap in his house (in little tiny packets...), because his day was 90% machine grease.

Oh yeah... another thing I don't have, but I've had that stuff around in the past and it's done very well. I'll have to add it to my odds-and-ins mental list. Thanks for the reminder, heh.
