Washington has just de facto legalized gay marriage, with only an absolutely assured House vote to go. Great!

Not so great: My peers constantly BAWWWWW'ing in the hallways about it. Current World Problems was derailed to the subject. I spent the entire day debating the matter with people, even though the internet has taught me how effective that is. (Debating with people who have already decided what their opinion is.) There is a completely ridiculous quantity of debate going on here for a school full of people that this law will have zero effect on. I never thought that I would spend an entire day reminding people that discrimination is wrong.

Darn me and my unwillingness to back down from a challenge. I think I may have become embroiled in something far too voluminous for me to handle. It's not hard to back people into a corner and end the debate, but I can't imagine this dying down in less than a week. Should be exciting, though. There is a certain satisfaction to arguing against Bible-thumpers with charts and other sections of the Bible. I'm not even Abrahamic and I think I've read more of it that most of these folks.

The first three are more common in conversations with upperclassmen, as is the last. The fourth is what wheels-on-ducks retarded Freshmen spout. Step 1: Ask why that's a bad thing. Step 2: Explain that their personal preferences are not the governing factor for the legislature or other peoples' lives. Step 3: Repeat with slightly different words until they either shut up or concede.

Okay so I was asked what I was doing on the computer. Then I was asked the equivalent of "can you hear me?" which I said yes to because I could hear. Then the guy comes in and starts yelling at me because apparently he called me to go outside 3 or 4 times and/or for an hour. Despte never actually saying a thing. Now I'm being told to "get a fucking book or some shit, you fucking dumbass" and "your video game shit doesn't you learn anything teach knowledge blah blah i stopped listening at this point" over something someone else never said. Yeah, I guess I'll just stop referring to him with respect now. I mean all A's? That OBVIOUSLY means I need to work HARDER! I'll move on up to a fucking Z because 1) that's TOTALY not impossible and 2) A's aren't good!

Language barrier doesn't help much either. Nobody can really ever understand anything anyone's saying.
