I'm really disappointed with the way I've been behaving recently.

So I got pulled over for the first time in....about 5 years, just after leaving a friends house after 5 hours of Arkham Horror. 10 over in a 35.

Honestly though, I'm not angry about it at all. I was even complimented by the cop about "how he wishes more people would behave like I do instead of getting angry and screaming at him." He even apologized for putting a damper on my night.

I told him that, after losing my license for speeding infractions in the past, my attitude about responsibility and dealing with police officers changed pretty drastically.

I guess I'm posting this because I should be all "GOT A SPEEDING TICKET RAAARRRR", but in fact I'm feeling the opposite. Well, ok, maybe not the complete opposite, because no one wants to get a speeding ticket. Possibly the least bitter I've ever been about it though.

Our school computers suck so hard, nothing works with them. Websites don't open, browser sucks and programs don't work. Sometimes they dont even start at all.

Considering I don't even have a license plate light (come to think of it, don't have a front license plate either. I guess I got by on an infraction after all! ), it's a rather arbitrary law.

You're getting penalized for the lack of a tech they want everyone to have, because it's broke and you're either too lazy to notice or too poor to afford to fix it. (Not that it does you ANY FREAKING GOOD as the driver of your own vehicle.)

I have been thinking about going into politics, in a thought-experiment sense, and realize that I have three qualities that make me unelectable: I know my way around virtually any subject; I don't like to lie, and have a lot of faith in my own opinion, even if it doesn't sound good to a certain portion of the population; and my paramount concern is world justice, not the jobs of a certain constituency.

For example, I think patriotism is utter bunk, a vice masquerading as a virtue. And I remarked to a friend earlier today that if people in this country were concerned about real intellectual threats to the existence of God, we would let Darwin be, and Southern schools "teaching the controversy" would advance an alternative theory that Kurt Gödel was wrong.

Would I say those things? Yeah, I would, because I believe them. And sometimes, of course, I simply enjoy pointing out inconsistencies in other people's thinking, on both sides of the political spectrum...

Oh, I wouldn't actually order the army to Alabama to evict people and give it back to the Cherokee. And I'm sure I'll be inconsistent myself. But I think it's an important thing to talk about. Politics needs to go the way of mathematics: you have a set of axioms "government exists to ensure justice," "the free market is a Good Thing", "the United States is a Christian nation," you advertise them to voters, and you logically build up your policies from that. That's how politics should work, because then it's easier to figure out what a politician actually means what he says.

Yeah, so I was even more angry when I found out what I was doing wrong with submitting to the Apple app store.  There was one more form I had to go through, which was in a very obscure and highly unimportant looking location.  All I had to do was tell Apple, "No, I'm not using encryption in this app anywhere."

I really hope for Apple's sake that there is actually a coherent set of instructions on how you're supposed to do this somewhere on the internet that is up to date.  Because I can't / couldn't find it, and I'm starting to think this is part of their selection process or something...

I am not amused.
