First, I'm sick of getting ambushed by Jehova's Witnesses at the bus stop. What's worse, you just can't tell them to bugger off, you just can't.

And yesterday, I get yelled at by the manager for not doing something I hadn't even been told to do yet, which was to stay back, literally up to my ass in rotten squash, alone, to throw them out. And he tells me to fill the trash bags all the way to the top(which makes them impossible to lift. I almost gave myself a hernia trying) in order to save on bags, and wait for a guy who didn't come back for a few hours, but was one of the few people there certified for a forklift, to take them out to the dumpster(which was already full, by the way).

And that's not the highlight of the day. There's this one guy who volunteers there as a contractor, a total asshole who thinks he owns the place. Before, the boss had said something about him cutting wood in the warehouse(which he's not supposed to do), and one of the other "volunteers" there repeated it, and the guy suddenly goes off on him, then comes back the next day, starts yelling at my coworker again, getting so in his face I actually thought the contractor was going to attack him. The boss' response to this was to take the contractor out to lunch and apologize to him. They keep excusing his behavior on the fact he has a metal plate in his head. Personally, I think he's fully mentally compentent. Otherwise, he should not be operating power tools(much less in a food warehouse).
Yesterday, he was back, again cutting wood in the warehouse. He gets again into an argument with another guy, that one lazy kid who actually gets paid to be there, over him wanting the kid to clean up his sawdust, because he's a "volunteer"(note, and actually volunteer, not in the same context as me or the other guy), and therefore has to privilege of having other people cleaning up after him. At the end of the day, he says to the manager to get "one of the guys who works here" to clean up the mess because he wanted to leave, meaning me and the other volunteer, who were standing right there. The other guy calls him out on it, which almost gets both me and him fired since the boss seems to like him so much. He managed to piss off most of the staff as well with this.

Well, whenever I get ambushed by those religious people I just turn to them and say "Would you like to hear about the Church of Scientology?", they usually just turn around and walk away then.

I don't take the bus, but when the Mormons/Jehovah's Witnesses/what have you decide that walking up my driveway to give me a pamphlet is a good idea, I'll usually just open the door while wearing my pajamas and a dirty t-shirt and say "'Sup?"

Looking like white trash is probably one of the best ways to scare those guys off, barring looking like a motorcyclist.

I was raised Jehovah's Witness until the age of 8 or 9.  While I understand they can be annoying and their beliefs are riddled with many of the typical problems (patriarchy, anti-homosexuality, etc), I do think they deserve a couple words in their defense.

In general, I attribute them with very widespread integrity.  You won't catch them at hypocritical behavior, other than that which is in their scripture.

They are actually as peaceful and respectful on both an institutional and individual level as their religion teaches them they should be.

They stay the hell out of politics.

I was offered a "free magazine" in a Trader Joe's parking lot some time back. Looked like a health-and-fitness kind of thing, so I said sure. As I started reading the articles, they seemed a little odd, like "Praying Your Way to Health" and "Slimming Down With Jehovah" (I shit you not).

Then, BAM! An issue of The Watchtower hidden cleverly in the middle.

If you have to resort to rickrolling me to get me to read your literature, that's probably a sign that something's amiss.

As far as fundamentalists go, they're the nicest of the lot. I think only the Gideons are really nicer than them.

I rather like the Salvation Army. Christmas shopping in the cold, dark winter just isn't the same without their warming music bands.

So I get home after going to the grocery store, preparing to make myself a nice cup of my favorite local coffee bean.

I open the bag and the smell hits me. What....what is this? Smells like...chocolate...no....no it's far more sinister than that.

I check the normal looking package of coffee and see a dull olive sticker the size of a silver dollar on it....

"Hazelnut Blend"

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

And I forgot to buy smokes on top of it.

Aaaaannnnddddd on the way to get smokes, some woman ignores my right of way on a green turn arrow and decides she's gonna turn right right now. And there I am in the middle of one of the biggest intersections in town with my hands held in the air, as if to say "What the fuck, you stupid fucking bitch?"

It's funny I could see straight into her passenger's face, and the expression there said "Oh please god, don't plow straight into our broadside like she deserves, and so you can collect some insurance money." I really hope she at least told that feckless dumbshit behind the wheel how close I came to murdering her with my car.
