Our bathroom light is on the outside of the room and I'd like to punch the stupid asshole who designed it like that.

Don't let them lie to you, all Europeans have it like this. It was like this everywhere in Switzerland and it was like this everywhere in Portugal. That's two data points for the claim of homogeneity.

Switzerland and Portugal have bad light switch designers, then. Why in the world would you put a room's light switch OUTSIDE the room it affects, except for pranking purposes?

Yes. it seems easier in general to turn the lights on in a room if you don't have to go out of it to do so.

Then I would imagine it would have two lightswitches.
Or perhaps, were you so paranoid of spooks, you would be willing to take the extra precaution of going the long way.
As well! The lightswitch allows you to leave the room before switching it off, meaning you don't find your environs darkened when you prepare to leave.

One of my toilettes have a switch on the outside, the other on the inside. Never bothered me, though I sometimes bothered my brother with it.

Yes. it seems easier in general to turn the lights on in a room if you don't have to go out of it to do so.

Most likely, the switch won't be on the other side of the house but right next to door, you'd just have to reach out with an arm through the door to hit it.

I do think it might have something to do with wanting as little electronic stuff as possible in the bathroom, though. My outside-switch is for the one room that has the tub and shower, the other one is just a toilette.

While i was on the seaside today i happened upon a market of sorts, browsed around with my friend and found some nifty badges.Bought one, then later remembered that a friend of mine collects them, so i decide to go back and get some for her, after some half an hour of wandering around we fail to find the stand, then i recoginze where it was and that it's no longer there -.-'
But the real rage part was that later i lost the one badge i had
