It threatens their masculinity. Somehow. Because if they are not manly they are not worth anything (or as much) as human beings. Same reason the those guys are in total favour for lesbianism. It's all in the gender roles.

It threatens their masculinity. Somehow.

Because they're not comfortable with their own sexuality.  They must desperately distance themselves from anything homosexual, aggressively if necessary, because they're afraid of the potential discovery of latent homosexuality in themselves.  They're not sure, and they don't want to find out.  It scares the hell out of them.  Aggression is almost always a symptom of fear, usually as a means of hiding it.  This and religion are each an independent source of problems on their own, but frequently play off each other.

This is why real men wear pink.

Yeah.  Adding technical specifications to a phrase reduces the catchiness and expressiveness of it in general.

Basically, a person who is independently confident of and comfortable with their sexuality will not worry about or even bother to wonder how their interests and choices effect other's perceptions of it.

Yeah.  Adding technical specifications to a phrase reduces the catchiness and expressiveness of it in general. makes it more defined.

Yeah.  Adding technical specifications to a phrase reduces the catchiness and expressiveness of it in general. makes it more defined.

Which, ironically, isn't always the most effective way to communicate.  Ask any artist.

Yeah.  Adding technical specifications to a phrase reduces the catchiness and expressiveness of it in general. makes it more defined better applicable to the real world, which isn't simple and shouldn't be simplified even for "impact".

Basically, a person who is independently confident of and comfortable with their sexuality will not worry about or even bother to wonder how their interests and choices effect other's perceptions of it.
Being comfortable with one's sexuality has little to do with it. I'm completely comfortable with my state of not putting gender-ial limits to my sexuality, but I'm still afraid or concious about people calling me "gay" because of it. This has a lot more to do with my conciousness of what other people think about me in general than how I feel about my sexuality.
