I got in a flame war today with someone who was ignoring an argument made by myself and several other posters.  At the end of the argument, to bolster his credentials, he cited several sources that famously argued the exact point we had made, in the process demonstrating that he not only knew of our argument, but was extraordinarily familiar with it and used it as a basis for his work.  He was just misunderstanding our statements that whole time as we repeated the same thing.

I am still feeling very high levels of residual rage.

Oh god, it turns out he was an Austrian all along.  Now I just feel silly for getting worked up.  My tag was Keynes so of course he was going to misunderstand everything I typed.

So I just got back from the doctor, and while I was waiting, my mom was talking to the doc behind the closed - and to her presumptivity, soundproof(note: I wasn't there because of any issues with my hearing) - door. First, she starts asking if there might be something medically wrong because of my body odor - which, I might add, seems only noticable to her and my stepdad. I can't smell it, nor has anyone else I've met mentioned it(note: I wasn't there for my sense of smell, either). Then, she asks the doctor for any reccomendations about seeing a specialist because she thinks I'm introverted(okay, fine, I probably am, fuck off), preferably one that involves medication. Lastly, she asks for a prescription of bloodwork to check for dangers of heart disease or a heart attack because apparently my brother had one not long ago.
I'm not pissed about the suggestion for bloodwork, it's a good idea, actually, it's the fact that she didn't tell me that someone in my fucking family had a heart attack. A heart attack. That's something I should hear about right fucking immediately. There's a chance, however, that it did not happen, since I've got no messages from either my dad, or either of my sisters about it, and I'm sure they'd damn well inform me of something like that.

The doctor, for her part, did write a prescription for bloodwork(again, good idea), but said nothing about any psyciatric reccommendations or my phantom body odor.
