Personally I think the problem with the mods popularity is it is really niche.

I'm on the internets alot, I'm on DF forum alot, I have never ever heard of homestuck. Having said that the mod looks interesting, I downloaded it for a test!

The trick is to make your niche cooperate with the niche of the medium; I made a DF mod entirely about DF jokes back in 40d.

Of course, nobody liked it.

To be fair, I think Carpmen exist officially now, don't they?

Probably, this was like 3 years ago tho, so the 'manness' was more......... 'undeveloped'.

I have to sit through the rest of my work day worried sick.  My wife just called to tell me her back is hurting her to the point that she can't walk again.  She's settling into bed for the rest of the night, and won't be able to do much of anything to care for the kids.  If Hiro's blood sugar drops to a dangerous level, and he doesn't notice and approach her about not feeling right before something bad happens, she won't be able to do anything about it.  Between the painkillers, muscle relaxer, and anti-inflammatory, she's going to be so passed out that she probably wouldn't even notice if he went into a seizure in his bedroom.

But I'm stuck here for the next 6 hours because I've already missed a non-paid week of work over this and can't afford to miss anymore.

Being stuck in this situation makes me rage at corporate America.

Having to do research today made me rage.

Reason: We have to have at least 1 book source. During the time we were allowed, another class took all of the books. ALL of them.

Damn it people stop replying to spam bots. Don't think there should be a exception to the rule just for "this one comment" nothing you ever say is actually funny.

Computers malfunctioned during computer lab at school today.  Me and two other student's virtual machines (an emulated windows server within a windows server) would not boot, citing fatal errors related to the hard drive space set aside for the virtual server.

Teacher, after spending half an hour trying to troubleshoot it decided to just have us delete and recreate our virtual servers.  Cue us doing the majority of the 3 previous labs getting the freshly reinstalled servers back up to the state we needed for the current lab (with the teacher saying we should have the instructor supplied info necessary for them already written down.)  Naturally we run out of time before we finish the lab assigned for today.  All the folks who finished the lab two hours early and went home got 'A's.  Because we didn't finish in time we got 'C's on top of leaving half an hour late.

Fix your goddamn computers instead of penalizing your students that you assigned to them you damn hack!  RAAAAAAGEEEEE!

I'm embarrassed and enraged :/  Been working on a big group project the last two weeks, I'm the guy setting up the animation while someone else did the art and someone else did the audio.  Apparently, Flash does not import to .avi at all.  Even though the option is there, it will so incredibly distort the video that having the option there is more of a taunt than anything else.

The worst part is worrying what your group members think of you.  I probably could have prevented this disaster, I just honestly didn't expect Flash to include an option that doesn't even work.
