The policy updated ran at work and nuked all my environment variables so java no longer works.

Oh? did I mention that not only did the policy updater nuke my environment variables, but it also copied a broken version of java.exe into the system32 directory.

And that they removed indexing from the hard drive so I can't search for files, for instance to find where exactly in the long string of path variables that someone might have inserted a broken copy of java.exe so I have to search everything manually?

And did I mention that not only is this a broken copy of java (one that has no java.lang.Object) but it is also a version KNOWN to produce problems with some of our build tools.

Note to self: fuck the policy updater, do that shit by myself.

Turning off the policy updater is technically a federal hacking felony and potentially terrorism.

... what? I mean... what?

I'm now curious as to what the blazes a policy updater is, because if it's on home-use computers, it's almost damn sure off on this one.

From what I gather Nadaka works for the government.
Given how stringent the rules seem to be, I assume that his work has something to do with the defense industry, but I could be mistaken.

A policy updater is what I am calling the program a company uses to make sure your work computer has all the software they want you to have, and none that they do not. There is probably a slightly less acurate but more conventional word for it I can't recall at the momoent. And yes, I do work in the defense industry.

Technically any use of a computer or software in violation of a EULA is a federal hacking felony, and since it is a computer owned by a defense contractor, it can be considered terrorism. As you can guess it is 99.9% bullshit that I was just being unduly annoyed by and shouldn't be taken entirely seriously.

The cream that goes in my coffee. The last three pints of cream I've bought, brand new, I've ended up with white floaties in my coffee! Argh! I hate floaties!

I fucking hate wells fargo.
I owe them some money; because I fell for an online scam and got charged $600 to my credit card, and have been making my payments on time every month,
back in november they said they didn't recieve my money, so I had to go to the branch several times and speak with tellers, after a week or so I finally got a letter saying they recieved my money, since then I've kept every receipt.
I just got a call saying they still haven't recieved my novemeber payment or my January payment. ahHA i have my january reciept to PROVE that I made my payment.
so I list off the numbers and stuff from my reciept. and the account number on the reciept doesn't match my account number so they still say I didn't make that/my payment. and now I have to go to a branch again and yell at some tellers some more.

Goddamn hate being sick. Had a cold all week, and a sore throat the week before that.

Also pissed at my boss. Monday he fired one of the girls who work up from, and from what I heard, probably for a minor thing. What really pisses me off though was that he decided to fire her before Monday, but didn't tell her she was fired until the very end of the day, so she worked the entire day, probably for nothing(like me, she was there from Dept. of Labor, whom my boss thinks it's his divine duty to treat like shit). Honestly, if he pulled crap like that with me, I'd torch the place to the ground.

Realised I got banned from most of the Paradox forum 2 years ago for stating that
'computer science wasn't created by Religion', and that such a statement was pure idiocy.

I wouldn't call it rage, but it makes me chuckle at the stupidity/bigotry of some forum moderators.

I think the moderator was more concerned that I called the proposition idiotic and those who suggest it idiots, rather than the actual statement. But yeah, thats the gist of it  ;D

*The mod was also a proponant of the National Rifle Association, so i'm guessing he wasn't a Athiest.

**I sent them a pm asking for the ban removed, but after ive sent about 4 emails, 3 pms they want me to beg an admin to remove the ban.
No thanks, I have a spine. I don't feel like cowtowing to someone who believes religion was responsible for computer science.
Bottom line: Not worth my time.
