I unplugged it. It still managed to beep once after it came away from the cord, but eh. Get this, thoug: I was supposed to turn it off prior to unplugging it, but there's no power button. Who designs these things, anyways?
usually you twist them to turn them off or something.

Depending on your system you should be able to turn it off from the BIOS.

My roommate apparently dislikes the idea of my having a salad spinner in my portion of the fridge, because it takes up available space that she wants clear in case she purchases something.  Please note that even with the spinner, she is taking up more than half of her side, and I am taking up less than half of my side.  And that she has unused space on her shelf, but prefers to put her things on mine.

Apparently the idea of "it's my space, and I should be able to put non-rotten food in it" is beyond her, along with "share does not mean you get to have half the fridge, plus large portions left empty in case you want to put something there--look, I had empty space in my part, so I put something there, just like you want to be able to do," along with "no, lettuce in fact goes bad faster when it's kept in a plastic bag," along with "if I put a space-filling head of lettuce in an equally large bowl, it will in fact take an equal amount of space to the salad spinner."

She's so stupid.  Also, incredibly bad at control games.

You can rage about it if you want warhammer, but you really just need better pockets.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
