Mirrors Edge.

The game is pretty fun when you aren't getting murdered by the cops/scenery because it fails to recognize what you wanted to do or simply smacks you in the face because you didn't do it perfectly.

I hated that the routes were not always clear, and sometimes scenic drop offs looked like the path when it fact it was short trip straight into a face full of invisible wall. In a game about jumping between roof tops, don't leave pit falls that look jumpable and according to the distance are jumpable. It's a like a giant baited fuck you trap to the player, especially when the real route is not easy to notice.

The changes in my local bookstore are the shit.
At least 50% of the stuff the stuff they are selling there aren't books.
Sci-Fi category is gone, so is Psycholgy and Fantasy doesn't feature a single Discworld book.

Time to order all my stuff online...

Also marketing fail from Andriod.
Still no other payment option for europe than credit cards? Seriously?
Well, enjoy not earning any money then.

Most local bookstores are happy to place special orders for books that they do not have in stock.

That's not the point.

Didn't knew that, thanks.

Hate how I can't ask my mother a simple question without her going into a rant about the most random, mundane things and wasting my time.  And then she gets mad if I go somewhere else, like she enjoys deliberately wasting my time and driving me nuts with her irrational freaking out.

What? Did they decide to invest rather in coffee mugs with witty sayings and refrigerator magnets? At what point is a bookstore no longer a bookstore and instead a giftshop?

Dear Amazon,

If you don't stop sending me ads exclusively for cosmetics, massages, and clothing, I am going to mangle you.

I am a good customer.  I buy a lot of math books.  Expensive math books.  Some of them are even new.  I pay on time, don't try to return or cancel shit, and generally just treat you right.

So pull your head back out of your ass and stick it on your shoulders (where it used to be) and advertise math to me already.  Make me want to buy stuff.  I'm sure you realize just how many textbooks I've purchased through you over the years, and that the stuff you advertise to me math-wise tends to be more in the vein of stuff I buy.

Figure it out.  Tits don't mean you should ignore my actual buying patterns in favor of advertising to interests you know damned well I don't have, because your sales department already asked me what I like and my search patterns are entirely clear.

Much rage,

Vector

PS: Not even shitty autism books?  For shame, Amazon.  For shame!

As a rule, Amazon has no real concept of what items are at all related. Buying books? Recommended for you: DVDs.

But then I bought a sleeping pad (for camping) and it offered me sleeping bags, so I guess it's kind of sometimes related?

Realistically speaking, it's got to get lucky sometimes.

Does get it right a lot for me.

I buy a couple of computer games, it starts suggesting electronics, games, etc.
I buy a tabletop game rulebook, it starts suggesting things for that game.

So my mom decided to take away my internet at 11PM from now on. Bluh bluh.

If I have to spend my entire day hurting my brain to death and can't even get to relax during the evening then you can go, politely put, go fuck yourself.

I bought two newspapers there and when taking them out of the plastic bag they gave me today, I found booklet advertising erotic goods and services in there.
What the fuck!?

Perhaps when they rebooted the store, they meant to add "Adult" in front of "Bookstore" and just haven't gotten around to it? Cause that's kinda what it sounds like.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
