I went to be at 7.30 yesterday evening. Then woke up at 00.43, roasting hot and incredibly thirsty. Then got up and read a book for an hour, went back to bed and woke up at 8 again.

I was up for 31 hours before that though.

Sleeping issues suck. Nearly decided to just stay in bed at 8, which would've ruined the entire purpose of actually having stayed up for 31 hours in the first place.
Reseting your sleep-cycle?  I do that about 4-5 times a year, because I occasionally have . . . a bad week.

Purposely staying awake tends to work better and more reliably than using loud(er) alarms.

Yeah.

It was annoying, I had trouble sleeping for about a week, managed to get up at 8am the day before I stayed up which made me feel pretty good, but I got up at 11am after an uninterrupted 9hrs of sleep. This made me feel bad for getting up so late, but also sleeping for too long gives me a migraine, and then having to go through the staying awake thing, which isn't so bad, but it's occasionally difficult to stay awake. It's usually between the hours of 6-10am that I get the urge to just lie down.

Thus spending all day yesterday on Bay12 replying to lots of threads. I now have an extra page in my updated topics list ::)

Apparently it's election time, because there are droves of fuckwits crawling all over my city with megaphones, shouting their mindless drivel into my tired ears. And there are people shouting support for them, and chanting slogans like some sort of mongoloid football anthem.
I even saw one douche wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, just to top it off.

I want to smash open their skulls and paint happy little trees in their feeble brains.

I heard that elections are obnoxious in Australia, but really? Diving around with megaphones? Chanting slogans?

Ye gods and little fishes.

... I'unno, I'd probably trade the endless robocalls and blanket unending media attack for megaphones and chanting. If nothing else, the latter are considerable easier to set on fire.

You know how to set chanting on fire? Awesome! :P

On a more serious note, I agree with you.

First you shove flammable liquid down their craw, then you hold up a match. It's not a terribly complicated proposition.

Apparently I have no dice.
I thought I had a die, but I cannot find it anywhere. Guess I'll have to head to the shops.

It snowed a few inches last night, and then it rained several inches this morning. The depth of the snow made it impossible to bike, so I left it home. The depth of the rain made it a pain in the ass to walk. I brought an umbrella with me, but I had to fix the handle. It didn't take long to realize that the umbrella was useless anyhow, since the remaining drizzle is coming down sideways.
