I clocked-in yesterday morning at 7:15 AM.

I clocked-out last night at 12:22 AM.

17 hours on the clock...  Not counting the ~45 minute commute each way.

It was after 1:00 AM by the time I got home last night...  And I had to be back at work for 7:15 this morning.  Luckily I was needed at one of our remote sites, which means I didn't have to drive 45 minutes first thing in the morning...

So, yesterday sucked.

We had planned on upgrading our 3560 at about 10:00 PM...  But our inpatient unit was exceptionally busy, and they didn't think they'd be done passing medication until after 10:00.  So we pushed it back to 10:30.

Then the ED started getting busy.  There were some gaps where we could have done the reboot, but the folks working in the ED were taking an extraordinary amount of time to register patients.  I think I could have done it faster with a stone tablet.

It looked like we were good to go for 11:30...  But some idiot was driving around on an ATV in the middle of the night, intoxicated, and got into an accident.  Head trauma.  So they had to treat him and get a CT done and send the images off...  Which meant we had to wait for another hour at the very least, and quite possibly longer.

That's when we gave up.

So I was at work 17 hours yesterday...  Didn't go home until after midnight...  And we didn't even get the upgrade done.

I am not happy with that outcome.  It means we're going to have to do this again if we want to get that 3560 upgraded.  And we need to get it upgraded, so I don't really have much of a choice.

The Witcher hunting quests.
After getting some wyvern meat, I decided to stop by the tavern and craft some potions.
Afterwards I went to deliver the meat. Meat is gone. Wait, how did that happen?
*contemplative pause*
FFFFFFFFFFFF-

I wish ingredients would become quest items, when they are needed for a quest :/

It's also quite easy to get stuck with a lot of unwanted quest items in the Witcher, so it slaps you in the face both ways...

Don't viruses suck?

I remember when I got a nasty one (I can't remember what it was called, it was a fake virus scanner.) I had to go nuclear. Without any backups.
Spyware Search & Destroy seems to help prevent them from gaining total control over your computer; after which it's merely an issue of running a malwarebytes scan to get rid of it.

For every reply to this assuring the person in this story that he did the right thing, there's one that makes me rage. Not even "Fires of Hell" rage either, just "Depressing Rage".

Now I remember its name. It was Thinkpoint. And as for Malwarebytes: I hear it's good, never tried it, never even got the chance to try it on Thinkpoint. That thing locks you out of anything capable of destroying it (unless you use a really convoluted way past it) and almost forces a nuke. Luckily it only seemed to infect a single account, we nuked it early.
Our general anti malware, virus, etc. is Avast though...

Agggggh. Sensory overload..I get like this on occasion, where my body goes hypersensitive and visual and audio input is magnified bigtime. Everyone's talking voices seem louder and LOUDER until I can't hear myself think and the room lights, even the laptop LCD hurts to look at

At least you don't have to deal with strobe lights.

Those, paired with loud noises, cause me to have a nervous breakdown.

Ugh.  Fully grown adults should know better than this.  I'm not a hardcore proponent of washing your hands every time you set foot in the bathroom, but please think about the person who has to share a mouse and keyboard with you after you've finished your massive toxic shit.  They deserve more than 1/2 a second of running water over your hands.

Public restrooms make me rage, because I'm forced to witness how disgusting people are.  At least we don't have people pissing on the floor or wiping snot on the walls anymore  ::)  You would think that an office without a single person under the age of 24 wouldn't have these problems.

Damned supermarkets and their cheap ass saving tricks, why in the name of nine circles of hell do you have six registers if only three are ever working, no matter how many people are waiting in the damn line.

We've got worse over here. The supermarkets have moved to self serve.

Why is this bad, you ask? Because 1 time out of every 6, the machine will have a problem. 2 times out of 6 there will be too few to make it a usable system. And the remaining three times, the people using it will be unable to use it quickly enough. I bet that it actually takes twice as long to do the 'self service' thing as it does to actually use a cashier.

You only need one class 3 associate for ~6 self checkouts vs ~6 class 1 associates for 6 checkouts. Since the class 2 only makes $2-4 per hour more, it saves a lot of money. They are not doing it for the customer, no matter what they tell you.
