I really see nothing offensive in your rant. It is a rather seemly thing to harbor a desire to bludgeon or cow¹ someone that harasses your ailing mother; I would almost be concerned if you did not, and I see little reason to suppose that you “automatically resort to manipulation and intimidation whenever you're faced with a problem”. It is not like we could draw conclusions about what you do whenever from any single circumstance.

I would also offer that manipulation and intimidation can be put to good and just purpose in some circumstances. Of course, knowing as little as I do about the situation, I would not be able to say whether it would be put to such wholesome purpose here.

The service on my phone runs out in four days, so I went to buy more time for it. I spent all the money I had left, and the damn card they sold isn't one that puts time on it, its one that doubles the minutes I receive on any future purchases. So now I'm broke, and unless my dad manages to get me some minutes in time, my phone is going to stop working, too.
