Human civilization is 10,000 years old, considering Earth is only 6000 years old we've had a very good run I reckon.

Silly LW, human civilization is clearly locked in a time-loop. The time-machines will be revealed soon so we can go back in time again.

Work again. Had to finish something that someone else was supposed to do on Saturday. Got yelled at  by my supervisor for not reminding her something she already knew. Then my manager poked her head, looked at my mostly finshed work, which was pretty quickly done considering the extra stuff I had to do, and said "work faster". Okay, she said "pick up the pace", but that's just different words for the same thing. After lunch, I find they had someone who is a bigger retard than my ex-crush take over my job.

Oh, and speaking of her, I had a realization today that, thanks to her and what she did, I don't think I could possibly trust any woman enough to get close to ever again.

Luckily, that feeling was somewhat reversed after listening to the absolutely disgusting way these two men were talking on the bus about what they do with women. Possible implications of rape, intentionally spreading HIV, and controlling them with drug addictions. One of them talked about having beat another man, possibly to death. And he said that if he had killed him, he would have taken $15k(no idea how he'd get it), abandon his daughter, and move somewhere else. Forget jail, these people should be shot in the head.

Go back in time to the period of cholera, dysentery, lack of indoor plumbing, paucity of porn, no air conditioning, no internet, halved life spans, no eye glasses, no pretty much everything that makes existence something actually approaching enjoyable... no. Fuck that. The past was shit. The present may be shit, too, but the past was grade-A Tyrannosaurus Rex-sized pile of dook. Now we only have chickens.

You can keep your time machines, I'll keep modern medicine and easily accessible lube. I don't want to be tempted to resort to pederasty to keep from going insane. Whatever the reason was the greeks et al indulged, anyway.

A small piece of one of my teeth broke off yesterday.  About an hour ago it started to ache a bit.

My dentist appointment isn't until next week - I'm really hoping it doesn't escalate beyond "a bit" before then.

And today the alcohol is better and more copious. Also you can drink other things without dying.

Actually, it does not matter what you drink - y'all are still gonna end up dead, one way or another.

Yes, but today, it is considerably less likely to be caused by the runs.

Major. Improvement.

Why are you guys arguing with Frumple about the past? The past was terrible. There's no argument about that.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, there would've been some pretty fine alcohols brewed out of strains of crops that don't even exist today with techniques long forgotten. Also mix alcohol in everything! And have many holidays! The tyranny of the clock doesn't even exist!

Wow, is that a Minesweeper variant that has only 36 puzzles, but costs 3 bucks? And they're apparently not even well-designed? Why don't you just play actual Minesweeper instead? Here's a neat free implementation (by the author of PuTTY, no less) that generates challenging puzzles that are still always solvable without any guesswork. There's lots of other neat types of puzzles on that site too.
