Is it so bad that one actually needs to actively handle it? I mean, it's just one guy, right? What's there to be concerned about, look, I'll do the math:

The character limit for a post is 40000. There are currently 1911 characters in Toady's modlog post. 1786 of those are actual ban notifications. That gives us an average notification length of 1911/28=68,25 characters. Let's round that up to 70. There are 38089 characters left, let's round that down 38000. That means there's enough space in the modlog post to ban approx. 543 people. And then, Toady can just make a new modlog post.

See? Nothing to be concerned about.
