My most reliable audio peripherals tend to be in that same price range, but as ear clips instead of any other type of ear/headphone.

My apartment juts out of the building so it doesn't share any walls except with the hallway, and both my roommates are really heavy sleepers.

I haven't used headphones in months.

My 'apartment' has decent walls. I think.

I don't really see the point in lowering my music volume without a neighbour threatening the structural integrity of my body first.

For all I know they might not even hear it.

I have a splinter fragment embedded under my nail I can't get out, and my job requires me to use my hands in a manner that puts pressure on it.

If I could find my nail clippers I'd trim off enough nail I could cut it out, but they seem to have disappeared.
