So does that mean that the fee's are doubled, because you're not paying for just one person to beat you up and call you trash, but two people to call you trash, While being hit with the midget of the two? If so, wow. That would be a pretty good business model there!

... so how would the nailbat option work? MZ gets huge piercings? Or just very pointy clothes?

Because by the love of all gods, I am now imaging a vaguely amazon one-eyed lady swinging around a short fat man wearing a spiked metal bra. Impaling all the fools on his icepick nipple guards.

It would create the most amazing mass killing headline the world has ever seen.

I'm alright with quotas, actually. I just see them in a certain light, i.e. a prevention from some asshole hiring manager to just hire all men, and ignore the women. :v

Frankly, I've seen a whole lot of people whining about how it's reverse sexism and "It's about merit, not genitals!", and not many numbers of how many guys actually lose out on a job to someone demonstrably inferior based on their sex. :I
It's actually come full circle to reverse reverse (aka "normal") sexism in certain areas; I got a decent chunk of scholarship money to study abroad simply for being part of an under-represented demographic: males.  :P

That aside, going from what I've heard from someone I know who spend a long, long time working as an upper-level HR manager in both the private and public sector, affirmative action hiring is less about quotas (in that they're still pretty heavily stressed, but not absolute requirements imposed from on high) than people make it out to be, and that a large part of it is that if several candidates are equally qualified, under-represented groups will be selected to fill positions first.

Funnily enough there have been several studies showing that at this point teacher's have done so much affirmative action for girls in lower school grades (making an effort to call on girls, etc.) that we've actually reached the point where they are starting to suggest the opposite, that teachers need to make an effort to focus on guy education in order to ensure that they succeed.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder how in the world people live with such constructs about gender differences in their daily lives...that they don't see what are the causes deeper in on them.

Yeah, that's the other argument about quotas, that they... aren't exactly a thing. At least not in popular imaginings.

But still, even with quotas, they're not... TERRIBLE. Just kind of slippery?

In the UK, by age 16 to 18, girls outperform boys across the board by 10 to 15%. Guys tend to catch up by 21 though...
