Be thankful you still have a copy of 7. Tried to buy a copy of it for my brother's rebuild and it turns out the only license available to buy it on now is an OEM one (from major internet retailers anyways.) Which means as soon as you replace the mobo, the license is invalidated.

Although now that I think about it, your copy is probably OEM too. But with laptops, you don't typically replace the mobo.

I've seen non-oem copies available on internet retailers.

...For at least twice the cost of an oem one. ::)

I'm sure you could get a copy for free. It might smell like rum though.

God I loathe shoveling snow. Especially the sickening crack and hand-shattering jolt that catching a piece of uneven pavement causes, or how tire-compacted snow (now ice) will stop your shovel blade, and you, in your tracks.

I seriously want a flame thrower, not only because it'd be quicker and easier but it'd also fulfill a life-long fantasy of murdering snow that a shovel simply won't replicate. It's hard to cackle manically and enjoying yourself when you're stooped over a shovel blade and the snow is clearly owning you.

Sounds like fun. How much snow did you get?

I tried to clear the driveway earlier today. Then it snowed again and basically undid everything.

This logic is why I'm holding off on getting my truck washed. Next snowfall, or next trip down a slick road, and its covered in salt and dirt and other nasty stuff.

I think some guy in the UK did that and got arrested for it.  I don't quite remember.

EDIT:  Okay so maybe I got the place wrong.  Still.

I do not blame him.

Shoveling snow is an exercise in futility if you do it by hand, unless you have a small property.

I wish we had a snow-blower, or our own plow, or something. I'd also prefer it if there was not a fat idiot yelling insults at me while watching me from the doorway.

Two words, my friends.

Heated. Driveway.

... 'Course, I don't have one. Don't need one, the drive-way is cleared by some blokes in a plow.

I think so. I think they place heater coils onto the ground, and then cover it in asphalt like normal.

What if you cut a tiny circle out of the grid and then it would look like angels just made a little snow poo on your otherwise immaculate driveway.

It would seem my internet has given up to a point where my speed rivals Dial-up.
This is nice I guess.
Gives me lots of time to think between pages loading.
Real tranquil like.
