So I understand the rage, but did you guys seriously not know this happened? Don't tell me this is all new to you.
Pretty sure most of us are already familiar with it, it's just one of those things. Like how millions of people died in WWI essentially because nationalism, but you can still be pissed off anew every time you think about it.

At least this is very slightly less evil than that racket up in New England with the for-profit child jails conspiring with judges to sentence as many children to them as possible, if only because the government is just passively corrupt, rather than actively corrupt (taking bribes to not act, rather than taking bribes to act).

I fail to see how that is any better.

It's splitting hairs. Like, for example, how Stalin killed millions of people because he was a brutal dictator, as opposed to Hitler, who killed millions of people because he was a brutal dictator who also happened to have an unhealthy attachment to pseudoscience. Fifty million shades of evil, each with a hairsbreadth of separation between themselves and their neighbors.

Hitler was also a crack addict, to provide a bit more separation.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

If you wanna know more, read Boot Camp by Todd Strasser. It gives an insight to some of the more brutal places.

Jesus. Fucking. CHRIST.
Thank god I don't live somewhere where that shit is legal.

If it happened to me, I'd have probably legged it as soon as I had the opportunity.
I'm nowhere in that place (half the world away) and...

I can't believe this. When has common sense given way to doubt and 'justice' that older people start treating the young--the inexperienced and yet those who learn by their environment--by the rulestick of their vision?
Goodness.
The many mistakes of parents, and I daresay the general populace today is that sometimes, while the idea in the motive is right, how the understanding goes and the terms used is...fallible. Judging their 'likes' by standards of an older age, and the process of 'psychological fixing' is...very very wrong.

That is not how you teach. Never, how you correct. You set yourselves as models of goodness, and not commit to trauma or to pain; to second-guess a person with such an extent is already leading back to the problem instead of the solution.

This is my reaction to all things proposed in such link as if they were true, but I'd doubt that anything proposed as such wouldn't be pure fiction.

...Or I may be overreacting. I am just censuring those kinds of acts because they can't even be logical in how they try to...help.
