There should be (or was, gods help us if it's been disabled) a way to (re)activate the older version. Check for a "html" or something or other sort of thing, usually somewhere near the bottom, maybe in the options? Something to swap the interface into something that can be used by people without a flash/java/etc. capable (/with it disabled) browser.

Don't you just love how menial labor, minimum wage jobs have all these fancy titles? How about how even the stupidest, bottom rung of the ladder jobs, which require no special training, and probably no formal education at all are called "specialists"? Don't you just love what this implies?

And that's what grinds my gears.

Vimeo seems to be a good alternative.

Posted mod release on /r/dwarffortress; first vote is downvote. Guess Masterwork is the only mod welcome there anymore.

EDIT: Hehe, that seems overly aggressive.

Actually, it isn't. Holy shit people don't play any other mods.

Fu... fully functional. No dash, -al. Just. I don't know? Is an empty post-thing with stuff misspelled and a link normal for reddit? Could that be having a negative impact on responses?

E: Oh. Also it's apparently been seven minutes. It. Wait. A day or two. Then react? Maybe? Sometimes these things take more than two or three minutes. Just. Sometimes?

I don't even know anymore :-\

Reddit's algorithms tend to mean that if the first vote is a downvote, it's buried never to be seen by the majority of people. I forgot I was on a sub where there's a submission an hour.

The Yahoo mail interface. Just let me use the browsers back button to go to the previous page. Please. No, I don't want to go back to the very first page of the inbox. No, I don't want to go back wherever I came from before Yahoo. Just let me go access the previous page, like every other website in the bloody world does.
((And before someone suggests that I should use gmail: I do, I just have to look at emails on my mom's email account occassionally, or help her upload photos and such))
My whole account broke on me today for no reason whatsoever.
Luckily I have 10 others, but still.

Reddit is an awful place and you would be right to criticise it. Even the parts I personally like are worse than I'd like them to be because they still rely on the voting system.

What's the best way of handling an ulcer in one's mouth? I've got a large one that's gotten worse over the last few days and I'm debating about whether treating it or just leaving it be so I don't get the foul substance in my mouth.

You mean a canker sore? There are two methods:

- Leave it alone, and after a while it will shrink
- BURNINATE!

If you decide to use the latter (rectified spirit on a ear-cleaning stick is good for that, BTW), you're basically trading long-term pain for a bit more intense one right now, but the good thing is if you do that, the ulcer will stop being swollen as well as stop aching for a while, making it easier to eat/drink.

The continued attention given to Russell Brand phony, sophomoric rants on politics continues to baffle and piss me off.

Besides the interview with Paxman and Webb's rebuke in The Guardian I've not heard much else.

Fake Edit: How many bits in The Guardian alone do they need for this?

A friend of mine claimed to deal with them by using an electric toothbrush to scrub them to death. Said friend may be full of shit, but if you're desperate to get the little bastards out of your mouth, it's worth a shot.

Not a good idea. You will likely wound up with small slashes around the place, and more sores will form.

Also, apparently the ulcers are caused by immune system going apeshit over a minor thing, specifically TNF cytokine. Which would explain why I've had periodical problems with them in the past - I have psoriasis, which is, guess what, a problem with TNF going apeshit over a minor thing, except in the skin.

For ulcers, I usually just rub salt into 'em.
