American football is a tad worse, I suppose.

I dunno, I always liked the leg-heavy sports. Little or no hand-eye coordination necessary. Soccer in middle school was always fun (didn't do it much in high school for various reasons).

I played Soccer in high school because I deemed the chance of me getting a broken limb were substantially smaller in a game where you can't full body tackle each other. :P

Errr... doesn't Soccer have a higher incidence of broken bones than football? Comes from intentionally sticking your feet between other players feet and having no padding on impact.

Football definitely leads odds of concussion though.

It all depends on how good and aggressive you play.

If you suck at soccer, the worst that can happen is a ball hitting you in the face. With American football, it's a ball hitting you in the face, followed by the rest of the enemy team.

(american) Football is far and away the most injury-inducing sport.

Probably because there's no limits on who you can tackle. Seriously what's up with that?

Yeah, no. Broken bones and torn muscles are NOT uncommon in Soccer. Football certainly leads for injuries overall because of the preponderance of concussions, but soccer is certainly no slouch.

(Though personally I've found volleyball to be more dangerous than either, heh)

I think Soccer actually leads for "deaths on field" as well, beating out Hockey by about 35x.

Well, seeing as it was either Soccer or AFL, at least in Soccer I got to wear shinguards.

There are certain situations where there are restrictions on certain kinds of contact.

I wasn't talking about professional play though. In a school situation it's unlikely that you're going to be tackled heavily, especially if you're not that good at game.

And yeah, Cardiac arrest kills.

But you can still tackle people who don't even have the ball. How does that make sense?

Didn't study for my marketing mid-term enough.

Wrote down the definition of a logo instead of a brand. Forgot a few definitions. Accidentally wrote that the ultimate goal of all corporations was global domination.

Is that your story, and you're sticking to it?
