I am upset because my friend was ripped off because the place he bought the cake from used cake mix (As in the stuff you can buy from super markets) for their cake, when for that price it generally means they make their mix from scratch.

I am upset with the people who sold him that cake.

Think of it... Like going to a pizza parlor, paying 30 bucks for a small... Then finding out they actually just heated up a Delicio Pizza and put a few toppings on it.

Soli, they've been doing that one in particular for literally years. I think at least two or three at minimum, possibly longer. S'been around for a while now.

How many years are we talking? I've never run into that, and thought it might be in response to some of Google's recent changes of heart.
EDIT: Apparently they've been doing it since 2010.

Seriously though, I was looking for a game developer's blog, and got that notice. I can think of no reason it should have been taken down.

Or, more precisely, you usually only see them when you reach the end of the search results. They're fairly common on a lot of more popular stuff (especially if it's something that can be pirated), they're just, y'know, at the end of several (hundred) thousand results. So you usually don't end up seeing them because you don't actually chew through several (hundred) thousand results trying to find whatever you're looking for. Google's search engine does a lot of de-facto censoring by just shoving some stuff to the bottom of the results.

Something in this room is beeping every 5 minutes, and it is coming from the bed above my bed and I'm about to go through all of my brothers things until I figure out what is doing it, and then smash it with a hammer. Repetitive noises irritate me to no end.

Emergency lighting does that too, just so you know it is still ready to spring into action in some low light level related emergency. There are 4 of these in my lab, and over an 8 min period 3 go off in a cluster seperated by about 90 seconds with one about 4 mins later. It used to drive me insane, now I beep along with them, thier cycle ingrained in my psyche.

I thought so, but our smoke alarm is on the floor (it fell off of the ceiling a few nights ago...derp.) and the sound is not emitting from it. I turned off a tablet, and that wasn't it, but blagh.

Turns out someone I thought was a friend is an antivaccer. God fuckin' damn it. I knew she'd been slipping into a bit of anti-establishment woo, but the sort of arguments she's putting forth? The whole "fuck you, I've got mine" mentality that these rabid antivaccers are always pushing?

Yeah, this friendship is fucking over. I can tolerate a lot of shit, but this is one of those lines in the sand for me.
