I have a $10 Tracphone. Does that still count?
Woot.  *Tracphone fistbump*

I keep one in the car for emergencies.  Since I already have a bunch of minutes on it, $5 a month keeps the account active.

Haha.  I have a smart tracfone--need it because I kept losing jobs to folks who could answer email faster than myself.

Turned off auto updates, but my computer decided to ignore me and auto-update anyway.

I HATE EVERYONE!

Well, no. More precisely, I HAAAAAATE Google and Java, and slightly Microsoft right now, especially Java.

So, Google Chrome does not let me use outdated Java plugin because security, and has no option to remember the 'open this time' decision. And allowing Java to run AFTER the page loaded breaks the very applets I AM TRYING TO USE. But OK, it's security measures, I can understand it.

But Java takes the cake.

I downloaded the default 64 bit online downloader. LOLNOPE. Cannot download a file, downloader allegedly corrupt. Tried downloading the downloader again, two times. Noooooope. OK, that won't work. MANUAL DOWNLOADER TIME!

YAY, IT DOWNLOADED! But wait... Chrome, Y U NO DETECT JAVA UPDATED?

So I'm back where I begin. So I read some pages on fixing the online downloader. Okay, seems I have some old instances of Java, I had problems with them once some time before. Java offers me a tool to remove old instances of JRE.

The tool opens. FUUUUUUUUUUU

JAVA. I AM TRYING TO DOWNLOAD A NEW VERSION OF JRE. I CANNOT DO THIS BECAUSE OF OLD INSTANCES. SO WHY DO YOU USE A JAVA APPLET TO REMOVE OLD INSTANCES OF JAVA?!

As for Microsoft, Windows didn't let me uninstall an old instance of JDK, because I deleted it manually and it needs an installer to uninstall the program.

Finally fixed by cleaning registry via CCleaner. GAWD. That was frustrating. </rant>

Odds are, I don't have my source of information readily available, and it will be just as easy for YOU to google it as it will be for me to google it for you.
