Look for windows update in Control panel/Security center. Then click on change settings on the left. The lowest button should be deactivated.

There is a reason I rarely play FPS games. The story line sucks more then a vacuum cleaner built by the myth busters, and people act like doche bags as soon as you give them a weapon and a point system.

The game with the best storyline that I've played is actually an FPS. Pathologic. It's a deeply disturbing surreal story about a disease slowly destroying a town. It is heavy on the text and exploration and extremely light on the actual shooting. In fact, since you're in a town that's low on supplies and you need to eat to live there will be points where you consider selling your only weapon just so you can buy food.

I'd recommend you do. It's not really a fun game though. It's really tense. I have never been so nervous running around at night, unarmed, trying to get back to my house before I can get attacked by a drunk on the edge of his sanity.

It was kinda poorly translated into English. A lot of people say it's awful but I found it passable for the most part and there are some great lines that shine through.

Yeah, Minecraft is like that. But not really on the same level. Pathologic has this complete sense of powerlessness. It makes you feel like there's nothing you can do to save the town, there's nothing you can do to save yourself. And it's like that for the entire game.

If you pick suicidal as an emotion on one of the thingies it says "UR AN ATTENSHUN WHORE!11! NOONE LIKES YOU!!11" pretty much.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl has a pretty fantastic story as well.  Possibly my favorite example of non-linear interactive storytelling.  It's actually pretty deep if you think about the messages, and especially if you've read Roadside Picnic.
