So I've been wondering what's been up with my internet. It went from road runner to tortoise, but speedtest shows things are fine in some places. Then I found out three assholes cut internet cables down in Alexandria and I'm just hoping this stuff gets sorted out soon.

"Corruption of Champions" cited as an instance of transgendered characters in games. Investigated the game. Made me want to have an aneurysm. Going to try and channel this into something constructive, though.

It's not an issue that gets a whole lot of attention for most people, and can be a bit tricky to understand for those of us living in very gendered societies, but "Transgender" and "Intersex" are two very different things. Put simply, being Transgendered is identifying with a different sex or gender-role than the one typically assigned to one's physical sex; a biological male who does not identify as male, or a biological female who does not identify as female. One may not identify with that gender/sex behaviorally, may experience feelings of dysphoria in their own bodies, and some may not identify with any gender/sex at all.

On the other hand, being Intersex is having genetics or organs that make it difficult to classify someone as physically male or female, such as Androgen Insensitivity preventing genetic males from responding to male hormones and forming physically male characteristics, etc. On that note, Hermaphroditism pertains to animal species which are capable of functioning as either male or female in a reproductive capacity; it is not something that has or can occur in humans, to the best of our knowledge.

And last but not least, Corruption of Champions is a fetishistic porn-game glorifying rape, abuse, and other stuff that makes me want to vomit and punch people. With the way it throws around words like "Herm" and "Dickgirl" and whatever the fuck, it's about as pro-trans as the KKK is pro-non-white-immigrant.

Jesus fuck, I did not need this today.

Christian friend posted this on Facebook.  I'm not so much offended anymore by the Christian assertion that gay marriage is wrong, I've heard that argument a million times, used to believe in it myself, and thoroughly dismissed it (er... I'm pro gay marriage, 'cause I'm gay @_@ just making that clear).  Christians just don't phase me anymore.  What DOES offend me is when people say the gay rights movement isn't "legitimate" because it doesn't "properly compare" to the civil rights movement.  Bwuh?

And wow, this link is pretty much lining up every argument (plus some weird new ones) I've heard against gay marriage ._.

My own (Christian) friends are like "Well, God said to be tolerating and to love our neighbors, so it's all cool," and that despite the fact that God kinda said gay is bad in the Old Testament, so are a lot of other stupid things like the hundreds of interesting but fiddly laws God gave to the Israelites...

Well that might be because Christians are people too and some feel that the bible is full of lovely stuff too, so why should it be ignored to the exclusive detriment of others?

So today I got back home. First off, the rather pleasant two hour drive didn't happen because the fucker didn't write me down on the proper date. So I had to go and catch a regular bus, the one that takes five hours to arrive. So first off the driver is driving like crazy on roads that are curvy and rather poor. Nausea and motion sickness ho I think to myself but I manage to hold it down somehow.
Then the second driver goes out and buys some meat pie (onions and meat in a pastry basically, it's rather tasty if made well but god damn is it one powerful stench). This does not help my nausea at all, like, I'm physcally ill while mentally cursing him to eternal suffering for being a dick. The torture continues for a while before we get to a stop where we get a five minute break, suddenly people need to smoke, holy crap the station is big but you cannot avoid that stench.

Luckily I somehow managed to doze off after that and my stomach kinda settled since the road got a lot better. Then we waited for the second bus to make a switch, it didn't come, so we had to take the long way around to meet it at the stop.

All in all, fuck people who fail at reading things properly and fuck people who think that eating stinky shit on a bus is ok.
