His wording could have been better, I admit, but it's possible the other guy dicked him over.

Simpler example : I'm talking to my friend (Mumbert) about something. A friend of my friend (Jolas) gestures to Mumbert to leave me and go talk to him, about something which seems very important. After Jolas has Mumbert's attention, he talks to Mumbert about something incredibly mundane for an extended length of time, leaving me standing there.

Fairly sure I broke my arm today, while riding my bike. It looks fine but I can only move it about 3 inches in every direction, although after that it's all pain.

Little if any. Self diagnostic skills are not my forte to be honest.

In my experience (two broken arms), a break is usually accompanied with swelling in the affected area. Of course, I'm no doctor of any description!

My suggestion would be to put some ice on it to help with the pain and reduce any swelling that may be there, and carefully see how much you can move it later. If you rest it overnight and still can't move it without pain, get thee to a doctor and have him or her check it out.
