In my experience, "The Doctor we originally assigned it to didn't like your insurance company" is a FAR more common occurrence. Well that and the scheduling people likely NOT being the people with a real idea of the severity or time sensitivity of your illness. This is one of those things you need to not let happen - if they can and reschedule, YOU should call and explain that a month and a half out isn't good enough, and make sure the schedulers talk to the doctors if there are questions.

You've got Somalian schoolgirls/child soldiers searching for AIDS medication in an infected Manhattan, intelligent zombie-mummies, zombie pigeons, and so on. It's absolutely absurd in a lot of ways, but it also treats the "zombie thing" rather differently than a lot of writers do.

I've read the series. It was pretty good. And offered a different spin on zombie apocalypse than what you might expect.

I loved the Monster Trilogy.  Would love to see something more made of it.  David Wellington seems like a pretty cool guy who really deserves it.
