In my opinion, spanking leads to unnecessary and awkward fetishes later in life.

I think this might be the kind of thing Janet was angry about. It kind of bothers me too, now.

I was actually kind of serious about that, but I can see it going into dangerous territory.

I'll just say that spanking is a pretty common fetish, and it really has no erotic/power context if you didn't associate it with your parent's power as a child.

I don't see why it is necessary to remove a tool from the parenting toolbox simply in order to unfetishize something. People are going to create erotic and power contexts simply by exposure to anything in nature. It is human nature. If it's not spanking it will be something else.

"Someone wants a time out~", etc.

You're not treating the problem, you're only attempting to treat a singular symptom, and that won't go fix what you're trying to accomplish.

yet you were like that as a child.

you know you were. no sense in denying it.

I'm quite sure, if I somehow travelled back in time and encountered my past self between the ages of, say, two to five, I would FLIP OUT AND SMACK THAT WHINING LITTLE SHIT IN THE FACE.

That is all.

I'm unsure what's to be fixed in the first place. Power fantasy is a bad thing? (provided everything's still consensual of course)

And I still don't see what the problem is with the toy. Hell, I could probably get 5-10 minutes of entertainment out of one of those things today.

...In other news, I'm still in a bad mood today. Tomorrow, tomorrow I'm going to check out a place to maybe rent. Hopefully it works out and I don't manage to screw it up.

I think this might be the kind of thing Janet was angry about. It kind of bothers me too, now.

That was very much the kind of thing I was angry about. Especially as it just got injected into a discussion that was trying to happen and could of derailed it with more asinine comments. What's frustrating to me is that this is actually the second time he's slipped today. (The other one was in the sad thread)

So yeah, on post topic is on topic.

can I still talk about public transport? Because here in india, the way you get on local trains is you grab a handhold, and physically push yourself bodily through the teeming mass of people. No need for politeness, no need for turns, just shove yourself onto the train. sort out everything else later.
