Unfortunately we haven't been able to update to that yet, we're still on the buggy piece of crap that is Windows 2.5.2a. The new glass paned version does look good though, one day.. :(

Even if that were a true accusation, it doesn't even have anything to do with being able to practice medicine!

Why would they be kicking people out for no reason anyway? There isn't exactly an overabundance of practitioners.

The most extended rumor is that it's a personal vendetta.

It ammounts to a full declaration of war, for the record: not only you're depriving someone of a slot he won fairly in a public contest (examination), you're harming the work he or she has done so far in getting a specialist title, and permanently leaves a bad mark on the victims record (unofficial, but word travels fast). I'd almost understand if the victim physically assaulted her nemesis over this. Not that it would make things better, but the professional damage is so bad that it wouldn't be much worse.

The goddam church bells near work have been ringing since 1500.
For 512 years the bells come tolling...

I see no time traveling except in the forward, one second per second one? O.o

So earlier this week we all had training on a new piece of software. No less than three people have come up to me today to ask incredibly basic questions that were answered multiple times in each training session, then when I simply reiterate what they were told (and shown), they act like I've descended from Sinai with holy writ from the mouth of God.

WTF PEOPLE?? Y U SO CLUELESS?

I could understand that it's all kinda new and if they went "Oh yeah, that's right...thanks, I forgot that part", I could overlook it. But they're staring at me like this is utterly unfathomable esoteric knowledge that I've dredged up from consulting with the nether realms. IT'S IN THE MANUAL.  :'(

People + computers = stupid questions, unless otherwise avoided.

People + computers = stupid questions, unless otherwise avoided.
And the only form of avoidance is to avoid the people.

Someone just stole 40 dollars from my wallet. I have no idea WHO stole it, but the only lead I have is my brother's friend, who came here yesterday. I once heard him say that he needed to get a soda from the fridge, and I'm always leaving my wallet on my nightstand. When I found it, I was fucking RAGING. Luckily, mom gave me some spare 40 dollars, but now I'm unable to get any more allowance for two weeks, or the time needed to pay her back. I am NEVER leaving my wallet out like that anymore.  >:(

I leave my money out in the open (relatively), but I always know who goes near it in case I need to lay the smackdown.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
